Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. These words are uttered by Macbeth after he hears of Lady Macbeth’s death, in Act 5, scene 5, lines 16–27. … Macbeth’s comment calls attention to this conspiracy and partially explodes it—his nihilism embraces not only his own life but the entire play. It is, at least to me, indicative of our current political scene, with the lefty loonies telling the story, which certainly IS full of sound and fury. One only has to listen to what they are advocating, and you think to yourself, “That cannot be what they actually believe…can it?” Of course it is. The Democrat party has become infected with hate and vitriol. Their recent two recommendations for the impeachment of the President were more than enough to convince me…and I’m sure there are many more that think the way I do.
If, and I doubt that it will, the impeachment goes forward, you can bet the farm that it will be on the schedule no matter which party is in the White House. The Democrats have grabbed the tiger by the tail, and they’re swinging it around, but have no plan to do anything once they stop. Not one Democrat that I’ve heard has explained, in detail, how all the “freebies” they plan to give out, will be paid for, or how it will be disbursed. Our country, as wonderful as it is, cannot now or ever, afford to take in unlimited amounts of people, especially without vetting them. One only has to look back at Ellis Island, during the great migration from Europe, to see that we had a system that allowed and disallowed people. We checked their backgrounds, their “sponsorship”, and their health. If they were sick with something that could not be cured right there, they almost always got sent back. Why are we not doing that now?
Full of sound and fury…that’s what you get whenever there is a shooting. Immediately the anti-gunners want “more gun control” when there’s already THOUSANDS of “gun control” laws on the books…and they don’t accomplish much, if anything. I hate to dwell on this because it should be common sense knowledge, but IT ISN’T THE GUN THAT IS THE PROBLEM, it’s the person using the gun as a tool to accomplish whatever it is they decide they want to accomplish. If it wasn’t a gun, it could be a knife, an axe, a baseball bat, or any number of things…whatever was handiest at the time. Are we going to ban all of those things? If we do, what will be their replacements?
There are a number of laws on the books that deal, directly, with the immigration of people to this country. It has been a puzzle to me, for quite a while, why those and other laws, are not being enforced. Had they been, I daresay that we would not have half the problems in this country that we now have. As an American, and a patriot, it disturbs me greatly to see that we are descending, even as the President goes about doing wondrous things, as he said he would. You can wave your arms about and shout as loud as you can, but if that’s all you’re going to do, you might just as well sit back on the couch, have a beer, and watch the television until your senses are numb. What is the answer, you may ask? Easy-peasy…get off your duff, find the office of your elected official and go there. Make sure, though, that you know what you’re talking about because nothing will get you ousted quicker than talking BS to a politician. They are experts at that and will twist you up in a heartbeat!
Go, make some noise, but also make sure it signifies something, and that it’s not all sound and fury.
