LMAO: $120K Art Piece Of Banana Duct Taped To A Wall Is Eaten By Performance Artist… And Then It Gets Worse

The art world has officially gone bananas. Some guy paid $120K for a banana stuck to a wall with a piece of duct tape. Here’s why he DIDN’T freak out when it got eaten.

The banana was real, and so was the tape.

Maurizio Cattelan is apparently a famous artist. His latest piece, which sold for $120k involved a single banana taped to an otherwise blank wall. Why did that fetch $120k?

Who knows?

But while everyone was gobsmacked at the fact that this had sold for such a lordly sum, along comes a performance artist named David Datuna, who is apparently an admirer of Cattelan’s.

While the world is still reeling from the fact that this piece sold for so much, this performance artist walked up, tore the banana off the wall, peeled it, and ate it.

He titled his performance art “Hungry Artist” and proceeded to eat the banana.

Fun fact, the banana itself is NOT the art. The ‘IDEA OF THE BANANA’ is the actual art.

How could this story POSSIBLY get any weirder?

Well, something else popped up in the banana’s place.
