Look at that! People are still being killed because of his death. Qasem Soleimani would be so happy — it’s probably how the murderous thug wanted to be honored.
The terrorist mastermind can add a few more names to the massive death toll he’s amassed over the past 20 years. Well, he could if he weren’t splattered all over the tarmac at the airport in Baghdad.
As the days-long, very loud, very public mourning of the Quds Force commander took place, at least 40 Iranians were killed and over 200 were injured after a stampede erupted during the funeral. It’s unclear what caused the stampede.
At least 40 Iranians were crushed to death Tuesday in a stampede that erupted during the funeral for Qassem Soleimani, the general killed last week in a U.S. airstrike, the country’s state media is reporting.
The gory episode in Soleimani’s hometown of Kerman, which also reportedly left more than 200 injured, came as the U.S. Maritime Administration is warning ships across the Middle East to be on alert for possible retaliatory attacks from Iran.
“Unfortunately as a result of the stampede, some of our compatriots have been injured and some have been killed during the funeral processions,” Pirhossein Koulivand, the head of Iran’s emergency medical services, told state media.
This isn’t the first time that the funeral of a “revered Islamic leader” has gone awry in Iran. Remember when Ayatollah Khomeini was turned into a piñata back in 1989? I do and so does YouTube. The crowd went wild back then, too, and several people were crushed to death. So, not much has changed in Iran, apparently.
We are now seeing the cognitive dissonance in the Media(D) who are spreading Iranian propaganda by citing “big crowds” and “public mourning” as proof of how beloved Soleimani was by Iranians.
It’s an interesting take from the some of the same people that also compare the large crowds at President Trump’s rallies to the Nazi Party rallies in Nuremberg.
This is the funeral procession of Qassem #Soleimani today in Ahvaz, #Iran.
Absolutely massive crowd, with millions of Iranians attending.

imam Tawhidi claims that there is photographic evidence that Iran blocked the roads in Tehran to manufacture the crowd.
Here is what his claims are:
The regime in Iran has 3 roads directing people to one direction and one exit road. I drew a red arrow to show you how they’re blocking roads and streets to create large gatherings. Cars are also blocked from entering. People are then sucked in by the regime’s crowd. Propaganda. pic.twitter.com/eojfvnJXUQ

#EXPOSED: NYT and the Regime in Iran regarding #QassemSulaimani’s funeral:
1- The “sea of humans” is a result of the regime blocking roads and forcing citizens in one direction!
2- NYT says the procession stretched for 30KMs. The longest video regime ? recorded was over 1.5KM! https://t.co/xX0zbx1kpH pic.twitter.com/ktstIKrz8I

We can quibble about crowd size, but while we do that, we should also discuss how authentic the mourning is. Sure, there are some people that seem to be sad at the death of the oxygen burglar terrorist mastermind who had blood on his hands, (even some people in North America,) but when a public display of support for an authoritarian regime is all over the news, perhaps we should take it with a grain of salt. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has no problem with snuffing out dissidents, so is it any surprise that some Iranians would put on a public show for the Mullahs?
Besides, it wasn’t a usual sort of funeral service commemorating the man’s life and celebrating his great journey into his reward — that same reward that he sent countless other jihadis to — no, this funeral included state-ordered vows of revenge.

Speaking in Kerman on Tuesday, Hossein Salami – the leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards – threatened to “set ablaze” places supported by the United States to avenge Soleimani’s death. His remarks were met with cries of “Death to Israel!” from a crowd of supporters, according to The Associated Press.
A separate procession Tuesday in Soleimani’s honor, in the capital of Tehran, is said to have drawn more than one million people.
Iran so far has worked up 13 sets of plans to avenge Soleimani’s killing, according to a report from the Tasnim news agency.
It quoted Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, as saying that even the weakest among them would be a “historic nightmare” for the U.S. But he declined to give any details.
“If the U.S. troops do not leave our region voluntarily and upright, we will do something to carry their bodies horizontally out,” Shamkhani said.

Wow. That’s charming, isn’t it?
These are the folks that the Democrats, the Media(D), and Hollywood nutters are making apologies for because Orange Man Bad. How lovely.
