Dems really want this to drag on into a witness phase. And they are trying to troll Republican senators by delivering an unusual message.
They are sending cakes.
Somebody out there thought this was a brilliant idea of how to press their message.

‘The Room Where it Happens.’ Get it?
It’s the title of Bolton’s book.
Aren’t they so clever?
#ImpeachmentCakes are being delivered to all GOP Senators today.
But, they can't have their cake and eat it too.
Keep calling your senators to demand witnesses.
Every call counts.

Uh, no. Not actually all that clever.

That’s not the only attempt to troll the Senate that flopped.
Chuck Schumer tried to pull off another stunt by offering his invite ticket to Lev Parnas. But it backfired.
Bondy wrote to a New York judge Tuesday to ask if his bail conditions might be relaxed enough to let him attend the proceeding from 12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken permitted Parnas to go to Washington, but he said the defendant can’t remove his electronic-tracking device. And he can’t enter the Senate gallery with it on.
…Parnas, his lawyer and another lawyer got the coveted tickets to the trial from the office of Sen. Chuck Schumer, Bondy told the judge.
Why would Schumer want to pull that stunt? Because he’s trying to pour cold water on the accusations against Hunter Biden and Burisma. He’s desperate to keep their narrative that these accusations are somehow ‘debunked’ by smearing Guiliani by association with Parnas, who is now under indictment.
As though there haven’t been any number of other legitimate reasons raised to ask real questions about Biden corruption allegations that have nothing to do with Guiliani’s own allegations.
Swing and a miss, guys.
You’re pulling these stunts because you have no substance.
