#Megxit: Prince Harry And Meghan Markel Won’t Move To L.A. Until Trump Leaves Office

Written by K. Walker on January 13, 2020

There is a lot of drama as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex negotiate their “exit” from the Royal family.

On Monday, the Queen will hold a crisis meeting, called the “Sandringham Summit” where she will gather with Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markel will call in from Canada. This will be the first in-person meeting since Harry and Meghan made the announcement that they planned “step back” from their role as senior Royals, carve out a new role for themselves, move to North America, and become “financially independent.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are seeking a global trademark for the name “Sussex Royal” in order to market a variety of products including clothing, and stationery, as well as the running of “emotional support groups.” The name is the same as the one the couple uses for their Instagram account.

This is all their own plan, but the final decisions rest with Queen Elizabeth. The Sandringham Summit will cover what Harry and Meghan’s titles will be going forward, how much official work as Royals they will do, as well as any money-making deals that they may have on the table.

Meghan Markle, the 38-year old American actress and divorcée married Prince Harry in 2018, but has reportedly not been happy with her new life as a Princess. She misses her Hollywood friends now that she’s living in the United Kingdom, is chafing against the rules imposed on the Royal family in the name of propriety, and has complained about the press coverage and paparazzi.

Markel grew up in the Los Angeles area, but despite the option of having her Hollywood friends so close, the couple isn’t planning on moving to Tinseltown anytime soon. It is however in their long-term plan to move to the U.S. and live there at least parttime.

According to a source, plans to move to L.A. aren’t immediate for the Royal couple, because they are waiting for President Trump to leave office first.

Prior to the 2016 election, Markle appeared on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore and said that it was imperative to vote for Hillary not just for being a woman but because Trump was a misogynist and divisive.

It appears that Trump Derangement Syndrome™ is no respecter of persons and can inflict royalty as well as commoners or commoners who become royalty.

“It’s by no means an immediate thing but there is a long-term plan to end up back in the US with a second home in Canada, where they will also spend a great deal of time,” the source said.

But Markle, 38, has said she won’t move back while Trump is president, according to the Mail, citing her friends.

Markle has been criticized for making the 35-year old Harry conform to her political ideology. The couple have made multiple public proclamations on their leftwing political beliefs — refusing to have more than two children because of the “climate catastrophe”; shunning the centuries-long tradition of royal hunts which Harry had enjoyed participating in the Pre-Meghan Era; and complaining that the coverage of Markle has been negative due to racism.

It’s no wonder that the Duchess of Sussex would prefer to be in Hollywood than in England — her politics fit very well there.
