It’s been a while since I did a column. Over the years, when I was doing a radio show, along with a column, and presenting my not-so-humble opinions on Facebook, the question was always “Is anybody paying attention?” Now and then a reader will write me and say nice things, on something that they saw. To say that it gladdens my heart is somewhat of a cliché, but that’s the truth. Slowly, ever so slowly, the question has changed over the years. Now my question is…”Am I preaching to anyone BUT the choir?” To that, and regretfully, I must answer, “No.”.
Anyone that follows my “stuff” knows the things that need talking about, and that I don’t mince words. There’s a few caveats that should be dropped in. One, there’s no point in lying because in this day and age just about everything that occurs, or has occurred, can be found somewhere. Two, to anyone that considers Islam a religion, whether peaceful or not(which it isn’t), look up the definition of a cult, and you’ll discover that it IS a cult…large, dangerous, and patient. Three, the Second Amendment is very important because without IT, all the rest of them are “toothless”.
Now then, let’s see what’s going on in the world. The headline screams Six-year-old boy BEHEADED in front of screaming mother ‘for being wrong religion’…from that you’d automatically know that, somehow, it has to do with Islam and Muslims, and of course you’d be correct. Oh, the boy WAS a Muslim, of that there’s no doubt…just the wrong kind of Muslim. He was a Shia, and the local bad guys were Sunnis. Where was this, you may ask? It was in Saudi Arabia…yeah, that one on February 17th. Our buddies. That’s like saying because you’re a Christian, but you’re Catholic and I’m a Protestant, I am going to kill you and because your parents are with you that will make it even better. If they try to interfere we’ll kill them too.
Not horrified yet? Hold on, we’ve got another one for you. This one is more common, even in America now. Sharia in America – Iraqi refugee burnt his wife to death as an act of “honor killing” An Iraqi “refugee” burned his wife, after he strangled her to death. What was the awful thing that she did to deserve that punishment? Oh, yes, it was that she wanted a divorce. Imagine that? If all the women in the United States that wanted a divorce were murdered, we might lose a million or so, I think. According to Islamic tradition, the “honor” of the entire family is measured by women’s behavior. Any action that may be perceived as harming the family’s honor may cost the woman her life. In other words, a woman is required not only to obey Islam including its strict codes of modesty but also to completely obey her husband, father, brother and even her uncle. Do you see who has dominion over the woman? An Islamic woman is little more than a talking animal like a camel or a goat. Question: Why are these barbarians in our country? Answer: There’s a two-part answer to that and it’s this: WAY back in the 1950’s a law was passed and, while it didn’t specify banning Muslims, it DID ban people who would be acting in opposition to our government and “traditions”. Had Congress and the Supreme Court done their jobs, we wouldn’t have a tenth of the problems. The second part of that answer is that Hussein made sure that the followers of his faith came to this country, in LARGE numbers.
Those two actions have allowed persons who are anti-American to permeate our various government levels.
American Academia, from kindergarten to college and beyond, has swung so far to the left that schools are considered as government indoctrination centers. When subjects are taught, the content is SO far out from “center” one could think that they were making it up as they go along. College, where a person once was taught to question and examine everything, has become a place where free speech means that my speech is free, and yours is too, as long as you agree with me completely. That’s the First Amendment, and so long we are(mostly) free, we can speak on any subject from any viewpoint. Now the Second Amendment, which is the one that we all know about…right? THAT one, because it denies the government from infringing on our RIGHT to keep and bear arms, is the one that makes all the others set-in-stone, so to speak.
Then there’s the military. Lately, there’s been a lot Admirals making cotton-candy types of speeches. Here’s what has been discovered lately…it appears that the Marine Corps, backed by specific types of ships, is preparing for a war that centers around amphibious landings. If you’re old enough, try to remember what you saw and heard of D-Day 1944. Back then, the Navy floated a couple of miles offshore and, with their BIG guns, pounded the enemy defenses. Then, when they thought the time was right, the barrages stopped and the landing craft started to the shore. Now, getting back to the present and future war…planning for an amphibious assault WITHOUT the big guns to soften the enemy is going to be something that I’d call a suicide mission.
