Well, so, much for the accomplishment of desegregation if the people who benefitted are trying to resurrect it. Did MLK die for nothing?
The whole point of desegregation was summed up in MLK’s world-famous I Have A Dream Speech, with those magnificent lines about being judged by the ‘content of their character’ and not the color of their skin.
And yet, for all of that, we’ve got some of the perpetually-aggrieved trying to roll back the clock where one group can go here, and another group of the ‘wrong’ color needs to stay out.
The only thing missing in the modern version a Klan Hood.
Ironically, in the 21st Century version, it isn’t some angry white dude in a hood who is demanding racial segregation.
It’s some entitled ‘woke’ chick. And of course, she spoke in the most patronizing of ways.
Leftists at the University of Virginia are dictating who is and who isn’t allowed in the new Multicultural Student Center.

It’s sad, really.
Looking at the legitimate fight of the ‘we will overcome’ crowd, the marches, the hoses, the use of dogs and the peaceful protests that finally had their voices heard, they seem to be in a helluva hurry to give back all those gains.
And why? So they can hold a grudge from generations gone by? Punish people long since dead for injuries endured by generations long buried?
At some point we need to make that choice to live with our eyes facing forward and not backward, don’t we?
