Ok, Leftists — NOW you can say that the race is just down to old, white men.
The Left has been diligently erasing the first Samoan-American woman who is also a practicing Hindu from the Democratic Primary. That’s because Rep. Tulsi Gabbard(D-HI) is not the “right” kind of Democrat. Although she ticks the correct identity boxes, which in most cases is enough (see Rep. Hank “Guam Might Capsize” Johnson, Rep. Maxine “Impeach 45!” Waters, and Rep. Ted “Not an Anti-semite, Just An Idiot” Lieu) but not in when it comes to likable, articulate, patriotic, and photogenic Tulsi. The problem is that Tulsi actually thinks for herself. Sure, she’s still got some absolutely bat-crap crazy ideas — she’s still a Democrat, after all — but she doesn’t dogmatically cling to every single policy put forward by the ever-leftward Democratic Party. She’s willing to cross the aisle when that’s the right thing to do. She’s willing to vote against impeaching the president because “Orange Man Bad.”
And she is a Major in the Army National Guard. Democrats don’t much like her.
She was silenced, distanced, excluded from debates, and largely ignored.
Pretty interesting from the party that was openly lamenting that there were “no women left” in the race before she dropped out.
But now, she has made it official. Her message was one of unity and patriotism as she put her support behind former Vice President Joe Biden.
