They admitted as much, literally ‘in their own words’ and it’s in their own handwriting.
More than 3 years later, those of us who called this whole investigation a political hit job are fully vindicated. More importantly, so is General Flynn.
There are ‘explosive stories’ and then there is catching the bastards red-handed. This is the latter. It took 3 years for this to finally come to light, yet people still actually wonder why we rail against a ‘deep state’?
Remember when that IG report was ‘inconclusive’ as to whether the investigations into Trump’s team were ‘politically motivated’? What could possibly be more ‘politically motivated’ than an explicit objective to catch someone in a lie to get someone prosecuted or fired?
We have laws prohibiting legal entrapment for a reason. This case is a primer for exactly what such laws need to exist.
New documents filed under seal last week by the Department of Justice provide the clearest evidence yet that the investigation and subsequent prosecution of former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was a set-up from the beginning. Handwritten notes from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that had been inappropriately withheld from Flynn’s defense team for years show that a key goal of the agents investigating Flynn was “to get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired.”
In early 2017, FBI agents planned to question Flynn under false pretenses and without his attorneys present regarding his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. At the time of those conversations, Flynn was the top foreign policy adviser of the president-elect of the United States. By the time of the ambush FBI interview, Flynn had already been appointed as the White House national security adviser.
…The explosive new documents support Flynn’s latest claims that Obama-era Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials had conspired to set him up from the beginning and that they never had any legitimate basis for investigating him.
The author of the handwritten notes filed under seal last week also wrote, “We have a case on Flynn and Russians,” and “our goal is to resolve case.” Despite those claims of treasonous Russian collusion, Mueller found, after a sprawling, multi-year, multimillion-dollar investigation, that there was zero evidence of illegal collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to steal the 2016 election from Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. — Federalist
From day one, Trump-haters on the left and the right lapped up this story and used Flynn as a cudgel against Trump in their favorite guilt-by-association smears. It was also the pretext and springboard for what later became the Mueller investigation. But don’t take our word for it…

Now that the smoke has cleared, we see just how wrong some of the finger pointers were. Here’s Jeff Flake:
“Michael Flynn didn’t come up for a Senate vote,” Flake told Bharara, who was fired from his U.S. attorney position by Trump earlier this year. “I said from the beginning, if that were, I wouldn’t have voted for it, that I thought a conspiracy theorist like that doesn’t belong as head of national security.” — The Hill
This is the guy who deep-sixed Republican judicial appointments in an effort to unconstitutionally limit Trump’s Article II powers concerning Mueller because he was *convinced* a ‘guilty’ Trump would fire Mueller to hide alleged dark dealings with Russia. And Flake has the gall to call someone ELSE a ‘conspiracy theorist’?
And what about THIS guy?

The ‘mainstream’ media was complicit then…
Now that the FBI’s notes have been revealed, and we’ve seen with our own eyes their corrupt efforts to destroy and set-up General Flynn, does this leak to the Wash Post make more sense? They wanted him at ease for their interview THE NEXT DAY.

And this is the ‘mainstream’ media today…

Are your liberal buddies claiming it wasn’t a set-up? Have them explain this:

Were they looking for the truth — ‘wherever it may lead them’ — or a pre-determined result? Here’s a clue.
How they planned to get Flynn removed:
1) Get Flynn “to admit to breaking the Logan Act”; or
2) Catch Flynn in a lie.
Their end goal was a referral to the DOJ – not to investigate Flynn's contacts with the Russians. pic.twitter.com/Vty3FYaSt9

Does this sound like the communication of someone acting with a clear conscience?
♦Strzok replies: “I know. I just talked with John, we’re getting together as soon as I get in to finish that write up for Andy (MCCABE) this morning.”
Strzok agrees with Page about being stressed that “THIS” could go off the rails… (Strzok’s meeting w Flynn the next day) pic.twitter.com/8xwcz5Kuvc

There is a lot more where that came from in the ‘Last Refuge’ account if you care to dig deeper.
For all of this, what did General Flynn — who has had his name dragged through the mud, and has been brought to financial ruin in defending his good name have to say?
It was the simplest of all messages, one that will endear him to his supporters all the more.

We’ve all seen the dishonest games the left have played with the power they’re entrusted with, they’re obviously unworthy of that trust.
But what about 2020? Could a moral person pull a lever for Trump with their integrity intact? Would Jesus himself vote for Trump? We’re glad you asked. There’s a brand new book that covers precisely that question:
“Would Jesus Vote For Trump?” by Doug Giles and Brandon Vallorani.
Would Jesus ever choose someone, with a less than stellar past, to be a leader? Would Jesus be cool with how Trump blasts CNN, The Left, and his feckless ‘compadres’ on The Right? What about Health Care? Would the Great Physician give Trump’s opposition to ObamaCare the ‘two thumbs up?’ Find out in this BEST-SELLER!
