Help The Working Class, Not The Woking Class

Once upon a time, you got a job based on your work – whether you were qualified for the work and whether you did the work, reliably and competently.

Whether you were a Democrat or a Republican wasn’t part of the vetting process…unless you were applying for a political job.

But instead of competence and capability, political correctness is becoming the basis for getting (and keeping) a job. People aren’t being hired–and are being fired–for a Tweet that triggered. For not being apologetic enough for things they didn’t do. For not being ashamed of their skin color–or because they have the wrong skin color. Or the wrong…equipment. Or for being too sure about the nature of the equipment they were born with.

The antidote to this…sickness?

Unwoke.hr–the job board for people looking for work, not Wokeness. It’s only a few weeks old but it’s already one of the biggest triggers online. Probably because it has an image of the Statue of Liberty–rather than pushy pop-ups demanding tributum for the BLM movement–on its main page.

People can search for positions by industry and region and know that the companies offering employment opportunities are looking for qualifications first and whether you’re black or white or male or female not at all–unless those things are relevant to the work they need doing.

You will be weighed and measure according to what you can do not what you believe–and you can expect not to be pressured to profess beliefs contrary to your own as a condition of employment.

If you’re looking for a sales position, you’ll know it won’t be about quotas. Electrical engineer? You’ll be expected to know watts and volts and amps–not Maya Angelou. Not that there’s anything wrong with Maya Angelou.

If you’re hiring poetry professors.

That it’s even necessary to have an apolitical jobs board is a measure of just how close the edge of the cliff the Woke Mob has pushed the country.

But now it’s necessary to push back.

By giving people who don’t want to be activists–or hire them–the choice not to.

And that’s what the Woke Mob can’t abide most of all.

The signature attribute of the Woke Mob is its intolerance of diversity. To be Woke, you must agree–and amen–everything. Like the audience at a Stalin speech, when no one dared to stop clapping until someone behind the curtain rang a bell signaling it was ok.

And what Stalin required the audience to agree with–and thunderously applaud–changed from day-to-day. As the Mob’s approbations–and condemnations–shift from day-to-day. It is hard to keep up, but keep on clapping.

There is no way to know when to stop–sans the bell–because the Mob has made it impossible to think. Only to march in NPC lockstep with what the Mob emotes.

Tragically, the Mob member confuses conformity with virtue.

But what the mob believes is becoming harder to sell.

Wokeness leads to brokeness.

“Don’t interrupt your competition when they are making a mistake,” as noted on the site’s main page – except the Woke won’t notice it, being too addled by their furious and thoughtless endless indignation.

Well, ok.

“Let them (itialics added) fill their diversity quotas. Let them exhaust their resources, efforts and reputation…let them posture about their so-called virtues…let their employees walk on eggshells in their bubble-wrapped offices.”

Indeed.

You don’t get to the Moon by feeling it. It takes dealing with reality, like it or not.

Customers also tire of being lectured about unreality–and will take their business where they–and their money–are appreciated.

The same goes for people who want to just work–and companies who just want workers, not the Woke. They can meet each other at Unwoke.hr– the end-run around the Mob.

Which explains why the Mob went berserk shortly after the site went up–and did what the Mob always does when it encounters other-than-lockstep uniformity:

It attacks. Not with ideas, of course–which requires thought. Rather with the usual temper tantrum and monkey-wrenching. It is easy to destroy what others build.

Unwoke was targeted by Wokester posters who tried to jam the site with fake applicant profiles such as “Farty Fart” and “Cringey White Supremacist Incel”–whatever that means.

All of it as juvenile as a 14-year-old spraying graffiti on a bridge support.

A bridge support most adult Wokesters lack the knowledge to engineer – though they’re expert at explaining why bridge supports are manifestations of “privilege.”

Woke media also piled on, including the site vice.com–which characterized Unwoke’s call for a non-ideological job board as “dog-whistling” for people with loathsome views too afraid to state those views openly. What Vice and other Woke media mean, of course, is views contrary to theirs–which is the whole nut of the problem with Wokeness, which Wokeness can’t see–which is why people grow weary of Wokeness.

Especially when they are just looking for work.
