COVIDICTATORS: Cuomo Threatens To Close Synagogues… Assign Agents To Count Worshippers (VIDEO)
Don’t worry folks. Cuomo is doing this out of the goodness of his heart. Which means it can’t possibly be tyranny, right?
It is precisely situations like the one we find ourselves in today that prompted CS Lewis to say, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.”
The most harrowing part of this video was the fact that he even acknowledged the lack of political standing his orders have because he claims the come right up to the line of Government over-reach into Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms of worship.
There was a time where you would have to go to far-flung parts of the world, behind an Iron Curtain, or under a repressive anti-religious regime to see government agents restricting ordinary worship.
We have now come to the day where government officials are blithely telling us we cannot meet because he said so. And he will shut us down if we don’t comply.
That line of thinking doesn’t sound particularly American, does it?

Cuomo was discussing the difficulty of enforcing coronavirus rules: “I have to say to the Orthodox community tomorrow, ‘If you’re not willing to live with these rules, then I’m going to close the synagogues.’”
…Cuomo added that it was the “last thing” he wanted to do. He also later said he would have to say the same thing to “the black ministers.”
This isn’t the first time religious adherents in New York have been targets of their elected overlords in NYC and Albany.
And we have seen the obvious disconnect between their deference to the first amendment rights of protesters — even the ones who step beyond the security of said protections by becoming violent — and their contempt for religious gatherings of any sort.
This time of year, Jewish believers gather to celebrate one of the feasts scripture itself commands they celebrate.
