Remember Keith Olberman? Neither Did We — But He’s As Unhinged As Ever (VIDEO)

Written by Wes Walker on October 10, 2020

Someone let Keith out of whatever box he had crawled under. And now that he’s found his way back in front of a camera, he has a crapton of stupid to spew.

Trump broke Keith years ago, and Keith tapped out, giving up on politics completely… for a time. Now, with an election around the corner. He’s back and as crazed as ever.

Here it comes. First the transcript:

‘Trump can be and must be expunged. The hate he has triggered, the Pandora’s Box he has opened, they will not be so easily destroyed. So, let us brace ourselves. The task is twofold. The terrorist Trump must be defeated, must be destroyed, must be devoured at the ballot box and then he and his enablers and his supporters and his collaborators and the Mike Lees and the William Barrs and the Sean Hannities, and the Mike Pences, and the Rudy Guliani’s and the Kyle Rittenhouses and the Amy Coney Barrets must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society while we try to rebuild it and to rebuild the world Trump has nearly destroyed by turning it over to a virus. Remember it. Even as we dream of a return to reality and safety and a country for which our forefathers died. That the fight is not just to win an election, but to win it by enough to chase at least for a moment Trump and the [‘maggots’ or ‘MAGAts’] off the stage, and then try to clean up what they left. Remember it. Even though TO remember means remembering the fight does not end November 3rd, but in many ways will only begin then.

And now the video:

Keith Olberman has decided to spend his last 4 years by choosing NOT to grow as a person in any discernable way, but to double down on the same screwball rhetoric that got him thrown off the air the first time.

Maybe he thinks there’s a market for him in this perpetual rage news cycle. It’s hard to imagine, but in his defence, Chris Hayes and Brian Stelter are still somehow cashing a check, so intellectual integrity and clear logical thinking are not prerequisites.

That one blockquote is so full of worthless crap it’s hard to choose what to counter.

Let’s keep it simple.

He’s looking for hate on the wrong side of the aisle. Maybe he should look in a mirror. He’s been blowing this super-heated rhetoric since pretty much the day he won the election. And none of his predictions have come true.

He’s ALSO unmasking his inner tyrant. All of his favorite political enemies must be punished for not agreeing with them. What’s the charge? It doesn’t matter. He’ll make one up later. But eveyone on his list ought to be ‘prosecuted, convicted and ‘removed from society’. What sort of a fate would he consign us to? He’d have to invent something new, gas ovens are sooooo 1940s.

And Trump is a ‘terrorist’?

Do you have a citation for that? Or was a bong rip involved?

You seriously think that a judge who was universally agreed to be the very best of all the Supreme Court clerks in her year needs to be prosecuted for a crime?

Aside for the crime of being marked as your political enemy — which for most autocrats and tyrants is more than enough — what do you suppose she should be charged (and convicted!) for?

Maybe the reason he, and so many like him, are so afraid that Trump might be a tyrant only see that in him because that particular impulse and temptation lurks in them.

They know what THEY would do with the power that he has, and they are deathly afraid that he is the kind of man that they are.
