As promised, the Senate has vetted and voted for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, soon to be known as Justice Amy Cony Barrett, the first SCOTUS mother of school-age children.
Had she been a Democrat nominee, much would be made of her high academic achievements, the admiration of her peers, the way she helped one of her students become the first legally-blind woman to serve as law clerk for the Supreme Court, all the while blancing a career and a large family that includes two children adopted from a disaster zone as well as one kid with special needs.
She would be hailed as a woman who could have it all, exactly the sort of woman that earlier waves of Feminism had championed.
Yesterday, she was confirmed by a vote of 52-48 with all of the Democrats voting against her nomintion.

But JUSTICE Amy Coney Barrett’s literal textualist approach to the law as written will be problematic for the Left’s favorite means of bypassing public opinion in pushing their political agenda. Her confirmation flips the court to a 5-4 ‘Conservative’ majority for the first time in most of our lifetimes. (Some of you will try to correct me and say it is 6-3. I would suggest such people are mislabeling Justice Roberts.)

Schumer, Pelosi, AOC and others are predictably outraged and butthurt. Some of the Dems are actively promising to politicize the court by inflating their numbers. Why is this suddenly an issue? It has something to do with that ‘Conservative majority for the first time in most of our lifetimes’ line in the above paragraph.
That’s not stopping the rest of us from having our fun.

On that note, the photo of the swearing in reminds us exactly what Trump is running against.
The Black judge whose ‘high tech lynching for uppity black men who don’t know their place’ was orchestrated by Joe Biden, and the threat of packing courts under a Biden presidency is coming in direct response to the one nomination causing Democrats to lose their long-accustomed access to a body of willing superlegislators in black robes.
And Trump is the wrecking ball that has been actively smashing the sort of status quo that seems to have made the Biden Family (and so many others) rich while supposedly engaged in ‘public service’.
