We followers of Christ all know that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and sometimes — actually lots of times — His plans and purposes don’t exactly mesh with ours.

We know that sometimes we fall into a crapheap of, well, crap, and find ourselves on the wrong side of God’s will. And I don’t need to tell you little children that that ain’t a fun place to be.

But there’s something that we often forget… God is working in the darkness.

If you want to see some massive change in your life, family, work, — heck, even in your nation — you’ve got to recognize that change isn’t always the most comfortable process to go through.

Yes, my children, sometimes losing that thing that you loved and cherished, a girlfriend or boyfriend, job, or whatever, might seem like the worst thing that’s happened to you, but remember… God is at work while you’re living in Suckville with darkness all around you.

Oh, yes, it is indeed always darkest before the dawn.

God is the same God yesterday, today, and forever, and when you lift up your eyes to the hills, you’ll see where your help comes. It comes from the Lord, as Psalm 127 says.

It was true for Moses, it was true for Job, and all of the apostles, and it’s true for you, too.
