It’s the 2020 Election version of asking ‘do you still beat your wife’. But clearly, he was ready for it with an answer they were not expecting.

Mike Pompeo is emerging as unshakeable under pressure and refused to let the media succeed in pushing a wedge between him and the President under whom he was appointed to serve.
The question asked by the media was, of course, a leading one. It presupposed some things that are still a long way from certain.
Is the State Department currently preparing to engage with the Biden transition team, and if not, at what point does a delay hamper a smooth transition or pose a risk to national security?
The one-liner he opened his response with must have hit them like a slap.
“There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.”
Funny how they are suddenly curious about smooth transitions of power. We all remember how they treated Jeff Sessions, General Flynn, and the rest of the ‘chaotic’ Trump team, don’t we?
They reveled in the chaos they themselves had helped create.
These clods don’t care about the news. They probably don’t even take any serious interest in national security. They have a political agenda and care about crossing things off their to-do list.
Right now, they are doing their best to destroy and humiliate a sitting president for the grave sin of failing to comply with their ideology.
How easily they forget there is a process to be followed. That process will take its course and we will have our answers in due time.
