The Same Media (D) That Was Positive That Russians ‘Stole’ The 2016 Election Are Now Saying U.S. Elections Are Secure

How do they square that circle? It’s easy when you’re duplicitous partisans that push narrative instead of reporting the facts.

On October 28, 2020, CNBC posted a video on YouTube called “How Safe Are U.S. Election Results?” The video assures viewers that the election process is absolutely secure and that voter fraud on a national scale is unlikely.

Meanwhile, back in 2017, The Atlantic posted a video on YouTube that said that “Russia hacked the 2016 election and they were going to do it again.”

It’s pretty clear that Russia tried to interfere in elections by using Facebook ads and social media sock accounts, but the actual extent of “Russian election meddling” seems to not have been very significant.

A 2017 article in HuffPo notes that of the 3000 Facebook ads that were purchased, fewer than 300 were targeted to swing states, and they were largely mundane and only a handful were overtly political.

Those more mundane ads appeared to target left-leaning voters.

The vast majority of the 277 swing state ads purchased by the Russian agency were about non-electoral issues, including police violence, racism, LGBTQ rights, immigration and Islamophobia. Many of them centered on themes of the Black Lives Matter movement. They mixed calls for protest with denunciations of police misconduct and systemic racism with praise for black celebrities and the black experience. Aside from the inability to conform to the rules of any known North American English dialect, they were mostly indistinguishable from social media posts by actual activists. In fact, many of the ads were incredibly banal.

As many conservatives said at the time, it seemed most likely that Russia was attempting to sow division in the process as a whole rather than support one particular candidate, and that appears to be exactly what happened.

And yet… the Media (D) became absolutely obsessed with the idea that Russia was working with the Trump campaign to “steal” the election.

Remember that sweet, sweet moment where all of the Fake News orgs collectively ate crow about “Russian Collusion”?

We do.

This is precisely why trust in the Media is so low. A Gallup Poll in late September shows that 60% of Americans don’t believe that the mainstream news media is accurately or fairly reporting the news. Republicans are even more skeptical with only 10% having a modicum of trust in the mainstream media.

All of this time, the Partisan Presstitutes have spoken out of both sides of their mouths saying that elections are secure and that Hillary was robbed in 2016.

Hillary herself said just before the 2020 election that there was an “air of illegitimacy that surrounds Trump’s presidency” and that the election was “stolen.”

Today, the same Media (D) who pushed for 4 years that Donald John Trump is an illegitimate president, promoting the #Resist movement, calling him the “occupant of the White House” rather than the duly-elected President of the United States in 2016, are now upset that President Trump is questioning the count that keeps shifting overnight.

Here’s CNN’s Glory Boy, Jim “Look at me!” Acosta, asking the President if he’s being a “sore loser.”

Shameful.

[Editor’s note: This post originally contained the Twitter video posted by Jewish Deplorable which was of Acosta yelling at President Trump, but the account was apparently suspended for posting videos of possible election interference deemed “election misinformation” which violated the Twitter Rules.]

CNN’s Anderson Cooper decided to go even further and called President Trump “an obese turtle on his back flailing in the sun realizing his time is over.”

I’m sure that CNN was just as critical of Al Gore back in 2000, right?

If the media didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.
