We’re all familiar with ‘get woke go broke’ as a cause-and-effect consequence of going all-in with the far left. But blue states are about to discover a different kind of consequence.
Ruinous policies don’t just scare away their tax base. (‘go broke’)
People vote with their feet… in droves. More than 100k have fled Cuomo’s hellscape in 2020.
Of course, that will hurt their bottom line, but it hurts them in another way. Their smaller population numbers could also leave them with a diminished presence in Congress.
How ‘tragic’ for them.
Some 126,355 people high-tailed it out of the Empire State between July 2019 and July 2020, a dip of 0.65 percent, the preliminary figures show.
New York has been losing locals since 2016, but the most recent drop was significantly larger than in years past.
It was also the state with the nation’s biggest population decline, followed by Illinois with a 0.63 percent dip; Hawaii with 0.61 percent and West Virginia with 0.58 percent.
The estimates are based on the 2010 Census and the official 2020 Census results will be released next year, along with a new legislative map.

That has a kind of a nice ring to it, actually.
New York has not been well-served by its leaders, Municipal, State or Federal.
Instead of holding up examples like AOC as the ideal for the ‘future’ of political leadership, maybe it’s time for giving your leadership model a rethink.
