Does this seem like they’re ‘testing the waters’ before they pull the plug on the President completely? It does to us.
He is the duly-elected President of the United States, addressing his followers on a platform that receives special protection precisely because they are a ‘platform’ and not a ‘publisher’.
Playing by those rules, they shouldn’t be censoring any content unless it violates some kind of a law — threats of violence, for instance.
And yet, Twitter tried a new trick with the President’s tweets today.

Nah, couldn’t have anything to do with that.
Oh, Twitter’s little trial run didn’t go so well. They backed off.
