Invoking Bolshevik language of brainwashing your political enemies came so effortlessly to her that the words rolled right off her tongue without a second thought about what it could cost her.
But now she’s running headlong into another reality: cause and effect.
Like so many hard-left celebrities, it never occurred to her that getting that dopamine hit of kicking the plebes in the teeth without cause could actually cost her something.
After all, who could possibly make her pay a price for mocking flyover country? Everybody in that town does it…right? The people who could make her pay a price is the very audience she so haughtily mocked.
That jab just cost her a gig.
“The ‘Jeopardy!’ audience is very conservative. And the show has always steered clear of politics,” the source told Page Six.
“Katie’s comments so soon after she was announced as a host are very concerning to the producers. They are worried there will be a backlash against her. There has already been some complaints,” the source explained.
The source told Page Six that, at the very least, Couric has ruled herself out of becoming Alex Trebek’s permanent replacement.
“‘Jeopardy!’ viewers are quite a traditional bunch, and there’s fears she might be too polarizing after this,” the source explained. “At the very least, she already appears to have ruled herself out of becoming the permanent host of the show.” –TheBlaze
Whoever Katie has been looking to as role models could certainly use an upgrade. She should read this, instead.
