How many Christians do you know that dream of ‘one day’ being ‘used mightily by God’ who are actually living life like someone actually getting ready for that call?

How’s that number compare to the others living their spiritual lives more like the guy eating Cheetos on his couch dreaming of one day getting to play in the big game in the championships?

All of us know how ridiculous the example of the second guy is when it comes to physical athleticism, but how many of us really live like people who understand (and care about) being in ‘game day’ condition for the spiritual fight we find ourselves in?

Looking around at the examples our cruddy culture has to show for it, probably not to many.

But if you’ve read the Good Book — and I hope you have — you will notice something about the people God calls. They aren’t passively watching their lives go by.

And in the case of four culture-changing young bucks rocking life in a hard place they weren’t just active take-charge guys, they lived and breathed excellence.

And when God harnesses a spirit of excellence to the cause of HIS greater purposes…? The world won’t know what hit it.

Taking the fight against el Diablo back on his own home turf, toppling strongholds his devils figured they’d hold forever sure beats sitting at home, sucking your thumb, and praying for Jesus to hurry up and whisk you away to safety, doesn’t it?

It’s time we see a resurgence in the overcoming spirit that made the Church into what can be when it shines the brightest.

To do that, Christ’s church will need to embrace the mace of a few hard truths about the changes needed to whip us into game-day shape.

Look at God’s own words to Jeremiah’s complaints — and he was one of the major prophets!

“If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you, how will you compete with horses? And if in a safe land you are so trusting, what will you do in the thicket of the Jordan? –Jer 12:5

God is inviting his Church to cowboy up. Are we ready to answer that call?

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
