Senator Ron Johnson(R-WI) had a fiery exchange with NBC’s political news hack, Chuck Todd on Meet The Press on Sunday.
Todd is Very, Very Angry that there are Republicans that are pushing back on certification of the election results and defending President Trump’s claim that there was fraud in the 2020 election.
This coming from the guy whose network was all “Russia! Russia! Russia!” for 4 years.
The problem is, the vast majority of the Media (D) have abandoned their posts as reporters of facts and have taken up the role as Democrat cheerleaders. They didn’t sound the alarm when Joe Biden was running his Presidential campaign from his basement and refused to take questions. Meanwhile, they’ve been horrifically biased against President Trump, refusing to report on his successes and harping on every single stupid little “nontroversy” to play to the #Resist crowd.
In an incredible exchange, Todd accused Republicans of attempting to “thwart” the democratic process. Senator Johnson pushed back and said that too many people have lost confidence in the electoral process and that it deserves scrutiny. Todd then accused Senator Johnson of “creating a controversy” and manipulating Trump supporters.
Senator Johnson wasn’t having it.
SEN. JOHNSON: This started when the mainstream media stopped, dropped any pretense of being unbiased, and actually chose sides during this election. This fire was started when you completely ignored, for example, our investigation of Hunter Biden. You know, “no evidence of wrongdoing there.” Now we find out after the election, no, there is a fair amount of evidence to the point that we have a real FBI investigation —
CHUCK TODD: Senator! I’ve had enough of this!
JOHNSON: No, listen, I’ve had enough of this, too.
TODD: No, Senator —
JOHNSON: The bias in the media —
[Crosstalk]TODD: You spent the last two years —
JOHNSON: Republicans and conservatives do not trust —
TODD: No —
JOHNSON: — the mainstream media and that is what destroyed the credibility of the media and our institutions and —
TODD: Right.
JOHNSON: — really –
TODD (Yelling over guest): The destruction of the institutions–
JOHNSON: So, I didn’t start this.
“Listen, you have spent, and I’m curious, Senator, you’ve spent much of your time in the last two years carrying a lot of this crazy conspiratorial water for President Trump,” Todd chided in response.
Despite Todd’s deflection, he couldn’t hide the truth. He was partially responsible for destroying the media’s credibility. In 2017, it was exposed that he had hosted house parties for prominent Democrats. And early last year, it was discovered that Todd had rented out his Arlington, Virginia townhouse to Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
The contentious interview continued for a few more minutes as Johnson called out Democrats and the media for pushing the unfounded conspiracy theory that Russia had hacked the 2016 election and changed votes for Trump, something Todd as political director allowed on MSNBC.

Chuck Todd has admitted that all media is biased (he’s right on that) but that he’d lose his job if he was overtly tipping the scale for the Democrats (he’s wrong on that).
Todd has been rewarded for his blatant leftist hackery not demoted.
Senator Johnson is right about the bias in the media and that millions of Americans don’t trust the integrity of elections because of the shenanigans that Democrats pulled to use the pandemic to change election rules in some states. Let’s face it, it’s been Democrats that have been attempting to systemically remove the guardrails for free and fair elections for years. They do this by suggesting that requiring voter identification is racist, refusing to purge the voting rolls, and pushing for mail-in voting which is ripe for fraud.
It’s pretty rich for Chuck Todd to say that it’s shameful for Republicans who are pointing to individual instances of irregularities in voting in multiple states and questioning if that altered the results of the election, while the entire media was pushing the “Russia stole the 2016 election for Trump!” for 4 entire years.
It’s nice to see Senator Johnson pushing back on that smug, self-satisfied asshat, Chuck Todd.
