How has Biden’s border policy failed? Let us count the ways. Nah. That would take forever to write. Here are just a few highlights. (Or lowlights as the case may be.)

For our younger readers — what is a gong show? Short answer, it’s a more family-friendly way of writing s#^!-show, the technical term for what his border policy has been so far.

1) The conflict with COVID.

You can have an aggressive lockdown policy where you are actively preventing the spread of diseases. Or you can let anyone who decides he wants to live her walk into the country unannounced, whether he’s sick or not.

What you can’t do is have it both ways.

Del Rio Mayor Bruno Lozano made an urgent plea to President Biden to stop releasing illegal immigrants into his community because they don’t have the resources to help illegal aliens, plus the migrants pose a potential health risk to residents by spreading COVID-19.

“I am pleading and requesting with you to please put a halt to any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting court dates, into the city of Del Rio and surrounding areas,” Lozano told Biden in a video message. –TheBlaze

2) No resources to handle the illegal immigrants after they arrive

Del Rio is a city on the southern border that received a record 11 inches of snow this week. The city, which has a U.S. Border Patrol station, has experienced widespread power outages, water shortages, and there are empty food shelves at stores.

“If you do send these individuals into our community, we will be forced to make a decision to leave them without resources under these dire circumstances,” the mayor said in the video as images of long lines to grocery stores with empty shelves were shown. — TheBlaze

3) Democrats warning of political backlash

This is more of a ‘him’ problem than an ‘us’ problem. We wouldn’t lose a minute’s sleep over the gavel changing hands in the House and/or Senate in 2022. Democrats, on the other hand, are getting nervous.

Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vincente Gonzalez represent districts along the United States-Mexico border. Their concerns are simple: they are concerned about America’s health care system being overrun because of the number of illegal aliens who decide to flock to the United States while the COVID pandemic rages on.

“The way we’re doing it right now is catastrophic and is a recipe for disaster in the middle of a pandemic,” Gonzalez told POLITICO.

So far the congressmen’s concerns are becoming reality. The number of illegal aliens flocking to the southern border continues to rise. As of now, the number of illegal aliens crossing the border is almost to the same level as it was before the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic began, the Wall Street Journal reported.

…“Our party should be concerned. If we go off the rails, it’s going to be bad for us. Biden is going to be dealing with a minority in Congress if he continues down some of these paths,” Gonzalez explained.-Townhall

Either this could work for us in the near-term and get Democrats to pump the brakes on policy. OR…
It can work for us in the longer-term of putting people who give a damn about such things back into positions of authority.

4) Biden’s policies launched an enormous spike in border crossers

Illegal border crossings in Arizona’s Cochise County have grown fivefold since Joe Biden secured the presidential nomination and signaled he would ease immigration policies, overwhelming local resources from COVID protection to law enforcement investigations, Sheriff Mark Dannels says.

“It just makes it really, really tough, because now the message is, ‘Come across our border, legally or illegally,'” Dannels told Just the News on Friday. “And then the consequences are minimum, if any.” –JustTheNews

5) Illegal crossers themselves are screwed over just as much as anyone else

Dannels said some of those most endangered by the new policies are migrants themselves, who when released by authorities often don’t have a penny to their name or anyone to turn to. If charities can’t reach them, they are vulnerable to dying while migrating by foot in harsh conditions or to being lured by criminal elements, such as drug cartels and human traffickers, he said.

“They’ll process them, given their paperwork, they release them,” the sheriff said. “And they take them up in a small community about 3,000 or 4,000. That’s what we were talking about last night. And they drop them off at a Texaco station there. Now they’re not giving me vouchers, any money. They can’t work in this country. And the goal of that is, well, when the bus comes in there, if they have a seat, that they get on the bus, great. Otherwise, they’re stranded right there with no means.” –JustTheNews

That’s not even getting into any crime stats or his plans to seek out people who have been deported and invite them back to America.

So this policy isn’t good for crime stats. Or for illegal immigrats. Or for the fight against the virus.

It isn’t good for border communities. Or even for the re-election of some Democrats. So what could possibly motivate this policy? Palmieri let the cat out of the bag a couple of years back.

A memo co-authored by former Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri, obtained by The Daily Caller, admits the Democratic Party needs to protect illegal immigrants brought here by DACA in order to ensure those additional votes.

The Center for American Progress (CAP) Action Fund memo, which circulated Monday, called on Democrats to “refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them.”

The memo from the left-leaning think tank also said that protecting DACA is not only a “moral imperative” but also a “critical component” in winning elections.

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” the memo read.

It finished, “If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond.” –FoxNews

Don’t be discouraged. We’ve been in tougher scrapes before now. Here’s how others have risen to the call when life went sideways for them.

Biblical Badasses: The Women

In Doug Giles’ latest book, Biblical Badasses: The Women, Giles spotlights ten epic ladies who did awesome things for God with the odds severely stacked against them. These girls weren’t your typical church ladies. They were holy movers and shakers who upset hell with their God-honoring, faith-filled, lives. Giles’ unique take on these terrific women makes the scripture come alive. This book is real, raw, relevant, and irreverent. Giles’ prayer is that after reading, Biblical Badasses: The Women, not only will your noggin be filled with these amazing tales of high and lows from real women who rocked in a hard place, via the power of God, but that you will get off your butt, quit pursuing stupidity, start chasing down your high calling and at the end of your life, you too, like the holy femme fatales featured herein, will have left a massive scar on Satan’s haggard backside.
