Nancy Pelosi knows she has unchecked power and nobody to hold her accountable. And her open sneering at politically inconvenient questions proves it.
For example, her reply to a question about witnesses from the FBI being called up during impeachment.

You don’t suppose that has anything to do with the fact that Pelosi herself has left unanswered questions about exactly where the buck stops for an intentional decision to refuse requests that had been made to augment security in the Capitol on the 6th of January, do you? Or whether Pelosi’s office played a role in refusing to increase the police presence that day?
Right. Questions that hold her feet to the fire are a ‘waste of time’, but softball questions pushing her party’s preferred political narrative of the day — literal talking point phrases that we hear echoed in every left-leaning newcast — are not a waste of anyone’s time at all.
Except that of a public who would prefer information about events of the day to party-approved propaganda. But seeing how the relationship between the press and this administration is shaping up, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for that.
Not from the big players, anyway.
