Is Biden’s colossal incompetence breathing new life into Federalism? Early signs seem to be pointing in that direction.

And legislators in Texas may be leading the way in how to make that happen.

First, let’s recap the problem they’re trying to solve. It’s a big one.

It was no secret that Biden’s fumbling of Border policy was going to be somewhere between a disaster and an absolute sh*t-show. The speed at which the crisis ramped up from sh*t-show to sh*t-tsunami was enough to stagger the imagination.

Trump has called him out for it.

“A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute,” Trump said in a statement, calling the southern border “totally out of control.”

“ICE officers are desperate to remove these convicted criminals, but Biden won’t let them,” Trump said. “The spiraling tsunami at the border is overwhelming local communities, depleting budgets, crowding hospitals, and taking jobs from legal American workers.”

“When I left office, we had achieved the most secure border in our country’s history. Under Biden, it will soon be worse, more dangerous, and more out of control than ever before,” Trump continued, charging that Biden has “violated his oath of office” to uphold the country’s laws. –Examiner

After going on the defensive after being skewered by his own ‘kids in cages’ rhetoric, Team Joe is looking for solutions. Since she was already there to rescue him in the interview on the topic, they are calling an early substitution and giving Dr. FOTUS a job to do. She’s going to channel her inner Edith Wilson and take over the border crisis.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was dispatched this week to brief reporters at the White House, repeatedly blaming Trump’s administration for the country’s immigration predicament and warning it would “take time” to undo its “cruelty.”

The White House also picked first lady Jill Biden to be the public face of its family reunification task force. Using the first lady allows the White House to provide political cover to other officials who likely have future political aspirations that could be harmed by delving into such a tricky issue as immigration, chiefly Vice President Kamala Harris. She could well be the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee, should Biden opt against another run.

…The White House’s maneuvers coincide with a jump in the number of child migrants referred to the Health and Human Services Department for long-term care: 321 by the end of February up from a daily average of 47 during the first week of January. And it’s forced Biden’s team to reopen Trump-era facilities to house them. – WashingtonExaminer

Democrats are calling this situation a ‘challenge’. Republicans are calling it something else entirely. It’s poised to become ‘a humanitarian catastrophe’.

Biden’s first priority was to stop building the wall that was helping stem the flow of both illegal entrants as well as millions of dollars of contraband, including fentanyl which has driven a sharp rise in death rates including among the homeless population Democrats pretend they care about.

Texas is taking the blunt end of the pool cue from Biden’s policies, including COVID-positive illegals being released into the community at gas stations or bus stops with no money and no plan for a welfare system already burdened from the damage done by the pandemic and the fallout of a recent major storm.

A lawful and orderly immigration process isn’t JUST a national issue, it’s ALSO an issue of critical importance to the good people of Texas and the other Border states. . . as well as the various destination states, and those with a fentanyl problem, etcetera.

Fifteen people were killed in a highway crash when human smugglers drove through a gap in California’s fencing with a badly overloaded truck with safety features removed. How many others like that are there? And now California is spending millions to accelerate this process, despite having a homeless crisis they can’t solve.

What is the solution?

One State Rep is doing exactly what we were hoping all states would be doing during this administration — flex their natural rights as states.

Rep. Bryan Slaton (R-Canton) filed legislation on Thursday to direct the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to finish former President Trump’s border wall project using state funds.

…“President Trump fought to bring real border security and was opposed by Republicans and Democrats in Congress. While hundreds of miles of new wall were built under his leadership, the Biden administration has already ceased border wall construction,” Slaton said in a press statement.

“It is time for Texas to stand up and finish the work that President Trump started. Let’s finish building the border wall now,” he added.

…The text states, “[DPS] must include as part of the transportation infrastructure, technology, and commercial vehicle inspection infrastructure at ports of entry along this state’s international border the construction to federal specifications for similar infrastructure of a wall to be named the ‘President Donald J. Trump Wall.’”

The legislation calls for an account called the “border security enhancement fund” and would instruct the governor to ask the federal government to reimburse the state for the costs associated with finishing the border wall.

Whatever reimbursement the federal government might provide would be deposited into the state’s rainy day fund. — Texan

That’s how it’s done, folks.

Democrats never ask permission. They just push their agenda and dare someone to stop them.

It’s time our side started pushing a Constitution-friendly agenda with the same aggressive intensity.

We DO still have some fight in us, don’t we?

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
