Remember back just a few years ago when, instead of seeking to actually destroy each other, social media was a place where people could just mock people they disagreed with?

Looking back, it feels like simpler times, doens’t it?

Well, the battle over mask use (for or against) hasn’t gone away, with each side getting more entrenched. But in at least one corner of the internet, instead of looking to get someone fired from a job, arrested, or just kicked off the internet, they are solving their differences in the old-fashioned way —

— no, not an intergalactic dance-off. But close.

Open mockery of the other guy.

In this case, that mockery is set to music. [Fair warning, there is some profanity, and makes a reference you may not wish younger ears to hear.]

This is one of the social media trends on the super-short video clips (TikTok) lately. It opens with something that has been making the rounds, and ends with some sort of a reply or a rebuttal to it.

Suffice to say, the short song opens with some absolute soyboy singing a rather juvenile song telling us how he (expletive) hates anti-maskers. It ends with a cute girl and a kickass rebuttal from the other side.

Isn’t it nice to see people who aren’t afraid to push back?

If you enjoyed that bold pushback, check this out.

Biblical Badasses: The Women

In Doug Giles’ latest book, Biblical Badasses: The Women, Giles spotlights ten epic ladies who did awesome things for God with the odds severely stacked against them. These girls weren’t your typical church ladies. They were holy movers and shakers who upset hell with their God-honoring, faith-filled, lives. Giles’ unique take on these terrific women makes the scripture come alive. This book is real, raw, relevant, and irreverent. Giles’ prayer is that after reading, Biblical Badasses: The Women, not only will your noggin be filled with these amazing tales of high and lows from real women who rocked in a hard place, via the power of God, but that you will get off your butt, quit pursuing stupidity, start chasing down your high calling and at the end of your life, you too, like the holy femme fatales featured herein, will have left a massive scar on Satan’s haggard backside.
