Will they never learn that there is no safety in empowering the woke mob? They’re coming for you sooner or later. Revolutions always eat their leaders.

For anyone not paying attention, Coke has gone all-in on the leftist ‘critical race theory’ talking points about all the world’s ills being ultimately the responsibility of white supremacy.

They were dragged on social media when it was leaked they were telling their employees to try being less white.

That didn’t stop them from being bullied and boycotted just weeks later.

Coke had committed the ‘sin’ of donating money to the wrong political cause. The people they gave money to were making the electoral system more secure and more difficult to rig. Making ‘voting easy and cheating hard’.

Some people really don’t like that. We’ll leave it to our readers to guess the reasons.

Coke is once again back in the news.

Lawmakers in the nation’s capital are proposing enacting a new tax on sugary drinks, hoping that forcing consumers to pay more for products they want will deter them from consuming sugary beverages.

Democrat Brianne Nadeau, a member of the Washington, D.C., city council, introduced a measure Tuesday that would enact an excise tax of 1.5 cents per ounce on beverages the city government considers “sugary drinks.”

The legislation would repeal an existing 8% sales tax on sugary drinks, which is 2% higher than the existing sales tax in Washington.

Enacting the sugary drink tax would “begin rectifying longstanding health inequities made even more apparent by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“One thing that COVID-19 has made abundantly clear is that we need to get serious about addressing health inequities in the District,” Nadeau said in a press release. — TheBlaze

This is just the beginning of the bloodletting that’s coming to all of corporate America. And this writer, for one, is done defending them from the Dems they insist on propping up. You bankrolled and lined up behind the anti-freedom party that wants to confiscate every dollar they can get their grubby little mitts on? YOU will have to deal with the consequences of that, just like everybody else does.

But there is a bigger picture that the right also needs to wake up to. This is a strategy to intimidate corporate America to stop donating to Republican candidates.

This IS an attempt to fully hijack the political process and entrench their side in perpetuity. But there IS a solution.

Remember the Chick-fil-A Buy-cotts? Lines around the block to buy their food? Let’s single out and reward companies that refuse to be forced into joining the politically woke mob.

The fear tactic can only work if activist boycotts hurt their bottom line.

And while we’re at it, maybe it’s time our side starts canceling a few big companies that have turned their back on American values like equality, replacing it with the left’s counterfeit ‘equity’.
