First Lady Jill Biden really needs to brush up on her Spanish.
On Wednesday, First Lady Jill Biden was speaking to the United Farm Workers Union in California. In one clearly pandering moment, she was trying to say their slogan, “Si se puede”, which translates “yes we/you can”, but it sounded like she was imitating Elmer Fudd speaking Spanish — it came out as “si se pwahdway.”

Now, I didn’t take Spanish in school, but even I know that’s just awful.
Do you remember how celebrities mocked Melania Trump’s accent?
There were more, but you get the picture.
Also…what’s goin’ on with that flag behind the First Lady?
It turns out that the red flag with a white circle and black eagle, which is incredibly reminiscent of Nazi symbolism, is actually the flag of the United Farm Workers Union.
Richard Chavez designed the UFW symbol in 1962, and Cesar Chavez said the Aztec eagle was used because people “know it means dignity.”
The symbol is also a crucial part of Mexico’s founding myth. According to Aztec legend, a god told the leader of a tribe to settle where they came across an eagle perched on a cactus, devouring a snake. That city later became Mexico City, and imagery associated with the legend is featured in Mexican culture and on the flag of Mexico.
Miriam Powell, who has written extensively about the UFW, said Chavez researched “emblems, including cigarette boxes and Nazi flags, and concluded that the most potent color combination was red, black and white.”

Can you imagine what would happen if Melania Trump had walked 100 feet from that flag? She’d be lambasted from that moment until the end of time.
But weirdly, no pundits are talking about the clear “Nazi dog-whistle” move by Jill Biden for standing in front of a Nazi-like symbol.
The corporate media published story after story about how Trump was using a “Nazi dog-whistle” with a shirt with an eagle on it.

For all intents and purposes, the flag behind Jill Biden is a UFW flag and has nothing to do with Nazism, but I’m sure somebody in the media would have made it a story if it were Melania!

Back in July, it was pretty clear that this was just a stupid jab at Trump and the “fact-checkers” were as useless as a screen door on a submarine in clearing up the nonsense.
This is hilarious: USA Today did a fact check on the claim that the Trump campaign is selling a shirt with a Nazi-inspired eagle logo, and the fact checkers concluded that it’s True that such a claim is being made https://t.co/xku7RTBU94 pic.twitter.com/FLlnLMXxOW

But back to “Doctor” Jill… this administration has been funnier than I had expected it to be, which is quite a feat, actually.

This administration is such a joke, you might as well laugh at them before they criminalize that.
