You’d think that Democrats would be able to understand people who don’t accept election results. Many of them had been doing the same thing for an entire presidential term.
And yet, they call what these two Trump supporters did “dangerous for democracy.”
On Thursday, during the Yankees doubleheader with the Blue Jays, a couple of Trump supporters unfurled an absolutely massive banner that read, “Trump Won, Save America” from the second deck on the first base side of the stadium prompting many, many boos from the crowd.
Videos and photos spread like wildfire on social media.

At one point a fan from the deck below tries to jump up and pull down the banner but was unsuccessful.
The two men struggle with security guards attempting to take the flag down.
Max Goodman who covers the Yankees for Sports Illustrated tweeted, “A couple fans at Yankee Stadium just unveiled a massive banner that reads ‘Trump Won Save America’ Sounded like the entire crowd was booing until security confiscated the banner, which then resulted in a loud cheer.”

A Facebook video shows security in the section and the crowd chanting to have the pair booted from the stadium.
The two men were escorted out by several security guards, including one in handcuffs according to the New York Post.
Lindsey Adler who covers the Yankees for The Athletic tweeted, “Lots of booing here after some jabronis unfurled a “TRUMP WON” banner off the second deck. (He didn’t.)” She followed up with, “Now we have extremely loud cheering as the conspiracy theory banner people are led out of the section by security.”

So, two guys get kicked out of Yankee Stadium for unfurling a pretty harmless banner showing their support for a politician and questioning the results of the 2020 election.
Let’s juxtapose that for a second.
Don’t ever forget what it was like in NYC on November 9, 2016.
Maybe it’s just me, but the outrage over people not accepting the results of an election seems a bit…sudden, one-sided, and convenient.
