The boy was left next to the Texas border holding a teddy bear and screaming between sobs to the couple that helped him cross the Rio Grande to not leave him alone.

It was a heartwrenching scene caught on video near the Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas border.

Moments after the 5-year-old boy is abandoned, Border Patrol agents picked him up.

A man and a woman were caught on cellphone video obtained by Agence France-Presse helping the young boy across the Rio Grande river but then leaving him by a barbed-wire wall at an underpass marking the border between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas, last Thursday.

The couple then turn around and walk back across the river, leaving the boy alone.

The boy, holding a teddy bear, screams amid his sobs, “Where are you going? … No, no, no. Don’t leave.”

The woman told AFP that the child’s parents live in the US and that the boy is from Mexico.

Hold on a sec…

This little boy was abandoned twice?!

According to the woman speaking to AFP, his parents apparently left him in Mexico to “make a better life” for themselves in the U.S. and then…what…wanted him back?

These are (pardon my French) really sh!tty parents.

What kind of psychological damage does this do to a child so young?

*cough* Maybe We SHOULDN’T Reunite Children With Parents Who Send Them Across The Border Alone *cough*

Is this humane? Is this compassionate?

Children are being abandoned at the border in record numbers because of the Biden-Harris administration’s “compassionate” policies, and they’re expecting it to continue. They’re making the move away from contractors providing housing migrant children to a permanent federal workforce.

The Biden administration wants to create a permanent federal workforce to provide housing for unaccompanied migrant children during surges like the one that began in January and continues to overwhelm authorities…

…Between March 13 and May 1, the Federal Emergency Management Agency assisted in the activation of 14 HHS Emergency Intake Sites in states including California, Michigan and Texas, increasing the potential temporary bed capacity by 19,987 beds.

But these emergency sites are not licensed or suited for long-term child care. Children without sponsors in the U.S. may spend more than a year in HHS custody while their cases play out in immigration court

…U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, an Ohio Republican, argued during the congressional hearing that the influx was caused by the Biden administration’s decision to lift the Title 42 order for unaccompanied migrant children.

Don’t blame the previous administration for not having facilities that they didn’t need because they didn’t have a surge,” Portman said.

Expect more of this with the Biden-Harris administration. They do.
