Dr. Fauci Claims His Critics Aren’t Just Attacking Him, But ‘Science’ Itself (VIDEO)

It seems that all those appearances on cable news and the cover of magazines have really gone to his head.

In an interview with Chuck Todd on Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci fired back at his detractors saying that the criticisms that he’s receiving for his handling of the pandemic aren’t just an attack on him — but on “science” and “the truth.”

“If you are trying to get at me as a public health official and a scientist, you’re really attacking not only Dr. Anthony Fauci, you’re attacking science,” said Fauci. He then doubled down, “Anybody who looks at what’s going on clearly sees that. You’d have to be asleep not to see that. That’s what’s going on. Science and the truth are being attacked.”

This guy really seems to think that he is above criticism. He’s not. He’s just another public servant that has had an outsized role in our national conversation for more than a year.

Here’s the other thing…Fauci is an admitted liar. He said that he lied about masks early on because he didn’t want people hoarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) since they were needed by healthcare workers and there was a shortage.

He’s also admitted that he lied about herd immunity.

In the pandemic’s early days, Dr. Fauci tended to cite the same 60 to 70 percent estimate that most experts did. About a month ago, he began saying “70, 75 percent” in television interviews. And last week, in an interview with CNBC News, he said “75, 80, 85 percent” and “75 to 80-plus percent.”

In a telephone interview the next day, Dr. Fauci acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goal posts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.

But, that’s not all he’s said. We’ve got this guy in front of cameras for more than a year spouting off on anything and everything. Let’s face it, many of his pronouncements had very little to do with The Science™ at all.

Fauci was pro-lockdown and concerned about schools being open in the fall of 2020. He publicly dismissed medication for the treatment of the coronavirus.

And then, there was that whole thing where Fauci praised New York state for the way that they handled the pandemic.

Recently, we’ve seen with Dr. Fauci’s leaked emails that there was some weird crap going on.

Criticizing him for those things isn’t an attack on The Science™ or “truth.”

And let’s not forget that there have been many scientists that disagree with Dr. Fauci. Are they attacking The Science™ as well?

It isn’t just that the prevaricating authoritarian Smurf is pushing back against the criticism, he’s claiming he is the embodiment of both Truth and Science™.
