We knew it would be a farce, but the melodrama was WAY over the top. Dems loved it, but Kinzinger pissed of the Republicans in the process.

Of course the Dems loved it. They’re Hollywood through-and-through. They LIVE for this kind of melodrama.

Why would they love melodrama so much? It’s simple. They use emotion, rather than facts to persuade, and they have done it for years.

We saw it with AOC’s photo-op where she dressed in white and fake cried in front of a chain-link fence … even though she was looking at a parking lot. People are dropping dead on the Southern Border now, by the dozens and you aren’t hearing a peep out of her while wildly overflowing holding centers are alleging overcrowding, abuse, sexual exploitation, and neglect. Of course not. None of that helps her politically.

We saw the same thing with the skinny polar bear, even though the photographer later admitted not knowing if the bear might actually be that skinny because it was too sick, too old, or too injured to hunt. True or not, the photo was featured in all kinds of environmental campaigning.

Now we’re seeing the melodrama in the establishment’s newfound concern for the defense of democracy. Notice how quickly Adam changes from laughter to tears in this clip. It was like flipping a switch.

It was a pitch-perfect performance for a hearing that was bringing up debunked lies and presenting them as though they were uncontested truth. But since when has the establishment ever bothered to encumber itself with the truth?

Sicknick, 42, died the day after responding to the riot, which broke out as lawmakers counted electoral votes to affirm President Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump. In the days that followed, news outlets reported the 13-year veteran was beaten with a fire extinguisher, but the medical examiner concluded Sicknick suffered two strokes and that his death was from “natural” causes.

Still, committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, said in his opening remarks that “seven people lost their lives” in the riot. The number would appear to include Sicknick, two officers who died by suicide in the following days, a protester shot by police, two protesters who suffered fatal heart attacks, and another who died of a suspected drug overdose.

Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn also perpetuated the claim regarding Sicknick in his remarks. —WashingtonExaminer

If you were to boil down the right’s response to his embarrassing display into a single movie clip, it might look like this:

He may have the ‘pathos’ nailed down in his performance, but he’s a lightweight on both ‘logos’ and ‘ethos’. (Pathos, Ethos, Logos explained here.)

His failure to back up his emotions with character or facts is exactly why he comes across to so many of us as the self-serving fraud he is. Dems won’t care about any of that. They can be counted on look the other way so long as he’s serving a cause they support, and Adam knows it.

He is milking the ‘strange new respect’ the left always gives quislings who dance to their tune for all it is worth. Here is the headline (and subhead) of a news article he featured on his website.

NBC News: What will Republicans defend if not themselves, the Constitution and Capitol?
Analysis: Only Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger seem to see that they can serve both the country and the Republican Party.

The article was deeply partisan, ripping the other Republicans for ‘official silence’ while making no mention at all of the fact that Pelosi blocked nominees that the Republicans had chosen to represent their constituency. Since Pelosi need not worry about answering to any Republican constituency, she made this just as bitterly and cynically partisan as she has every other issue since getting the gavel back.

Kinzinger is a hero in the eyes of the people whose respect he really wants. And he’s sure to get a soft landing as the next Anna Navarro or work with the Lincoln Project or some other group of morally outraged faux Republicans the left can use to undermine the right.

We’re not expecting him to ask any hard questions about why nobody availed themselves of the 10,000 National Guard that Trump had made available to provide security. Or why warnings to the FBI were not heeded. Or if the feds was every bit as much involved in stoking and creating this chaos as they were in the supposed kidnapping plot where it is looking more and more like the FBI did far more of the scheming than any of the patsies they goaded into playing along.

What role did Nancy Pelosi — who had final say concerning issues of Captiol Hill security — personally play in the decision-making that led to the security breakdowns.

Will we ever know? Not if Nancy can help it. And certainly not with milquetoast cry-for-the-camera types like Kinzinger who would rather help the Establishment retake control of the political right than let any America-First priorities gain a lasting foothold in the party.

If he REALLY cared about those cops he pretends to cry for? He would listen to what they are telling us. He would listen to people like National Police Association spokeswoman Betsy Brantner Smith had to say in response to the testimony that choked him up.

Smith argued that the riots that occurred after the death of George Floyd had a greater impact on police than the Jan. 6 riot, and called for them to be investigated.

“The 2020 riots, we can’t just say the whole George Floyd thing was bad and that’s what cops have to deal with, and then watch these four weeping men talk about their experiences, ignoring thousands and thousands of police officers, ignoring their feelings and their experiences and their injuries,” she said. “I want the American public to hear about that,” Smith told the outlet.

…”There were at least 574 violent riots in 2020, and yet today’s Congressional hearings are focusing on only one riot, January 6th, 2021, and hearing testimony from only a few of the police officers involved,” Smith told The Washington Times on Tuesday.

Smith’s comments came as several police officers testified before the select committee, talking about the events of the riot and the impact it had on their psyche. —JustTheNews

He’s in Illinois. He can be confident that the political machine will back him and savage any primary opponent in ’22 just to make sure that establishment Democrats find themselves in a win-win situation no matter which party wins his seat.

He may right to be confident of that … unless the Right is sufficiently pissed off by the hard left Biden is taking to socialism that it energizes conservatives to energize locally and throw serious support, including volunteers and money, behind a Primary opponent with a shot at taking him down.
