CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR: Federal Judge Rules Against Biden’s Trans Surgery Mandate

A pattern is forming early on for the alleged second Catholic POTUS. When secular and religious claims on rights collide, he does not back freedom of conscience.

The Hyde Amendment? Dems are busy working on scrapping it.

Religious exemptions for secular mandates that would violate Christian conscience? Don’t look for help from Joe, he doesn’t care.

But what’s his reaction when it comes to prioritizing legislation around Trans issues, the newest cause celebre in the identity politics game? ‘Hell yeah, where do I sign?’

Unfortunately for those cheering for his various leftist agendas to go full steam ahead, many of them face hurdles in the courts. One of those Executive Orders he made on trans issues is no exception.

In this particular case, the hurdle turned out to be more of a brick wall.

A federal court has blocked President Joe Biden’s mandate that would require doctors to perform transgender surgeries against their consciences.

Judge Reed O’Connor of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Wichita Falls Division, granted “a permanent injunction” to the Christian plaintiffs “to be exempt from the government’s requirement to perform abortions and gender-transition procedures.”

“Today’s ruling protects patients, aligns with current medical research, and ensures doctors aren’t forced to violate their religious beliefs and medical judgment–a victory for common-sense, conscience, and sound medicine,” vice president and senior counsel at Becket Fund for Religious Liberty Luke Goodrich said Monday.

The plaintiffs are a religious hospital and a group of over 20,000 healthcare professionals, Goodrich noted. — DailyCaller

The Government has neither the right nor the authority to dictate the conscience of a free citizen, even if Democrats seem to have forgotten that fact.

Should it surprise us that an administration that has explicitly ignored the ruling of SCOTUS that any future eviction moratoriums had to be made through laws written by Congress, and not by a bureaucrat or Executive Order be inventing new rules on the fly, without serious consideration about whether he actually has any Constitutional authority to do so?

The thing about Trump’s policy that aggravated Democrats so much was how he found ways to work within his Article II powers so that when they did file suit to block them, the courts routinely shot Dem objections down.

Based on that criterion, which of them has played the part of a REAL authoritarian tyrant?

The answer to that question, like the rights Joe’s order tried to stifle, is self-evident. Don’t ask the media though. They haven’t a clue.
