To social media, a video of the couple made them one in a long line of memes from the summer of 2020. But to the McCloskeys, that was the beginning of a pretty rough slog.

First, they had to deal with the threat of physical harm to their home. Our own Doug and Rich even interviewed the guy they called on to secure the home if the mob came back to make good on any of their threats.

They were standing on their own land with a mob of protesters who were uttering threats and had already broken down a gate indicating private property in the context of several firey conflagrations that had already popped up in the summer of 2020.

The police said clearly they were not coming. Nobody would be coming to their aid to stand between them and the crowd. So Mr McCloskey grabbed his gun and stood in defense of his home. Mrs. McCloskey grabbed what amounted to more ‘prop’ than pistol to stand by his side and help him.

The mob faced no charges, but the McCloskeys were both charged by a chief prosecutor, Kim Gardner. it wasn’t long after that Gardner was subject to an investigation relating to professional misconduct.

Officially, the McCloskey’s surrendered their weapon (and the prop that was modified by the prosecution to make it capable of firing, which says something about the objectivity of the prosecution) and pled to a misdemeanor.

Governor Mike Parson announced early on that the Prosecution’s handling of this case disgusted him, and he planned to pardon the McCloskeys, should it come to that.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced Tuesday that he made good on his promise to pardon a couple who gained notoriety for pointing guns at social justice demonstrators as they marched past the couple’s home in a luxury St. Louis enclave last year.

Parson, a Republican, on Friday pardoned Mark McCloskey, who pleaded guilty in June to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and was fined $750, and Patricia McCloskey, who pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was fined $2,000.

“Mark McCloskey has publicly stated that if he were involved in the same situation, he would have the exact same conduct,” the McCloskeys’ lawyer Joel Schwartz said Tuesday. “He believes that the pardon vindicates that conduct.” —AP

The left may have meant for this prosecution to hurt them… it seems to have backfired. They have since become politically active.

He is running for office and — by going viral and being wrongfully prosecuted — has been given free publicity together with name and issue recognition far beyond what money could have easily bought.

Great job libs.

You just played yourselves.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive

Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
