In fact, if you factor in loss of buying power due to Bidenflation, increased fuel costs, and redirecting money into priorities that do nothing to aid in combat readiness (like white privilege training, etc) the military has less money to work with this year than they did last year.
They lied to us about Afghanistan, pointed fingers, and passed the buck while untold numbers of Americans and Green Card holders REMIAN trapped behind enemy lines with our government doing Squat to bring them home. And whose head has rolled for any of this?
The only guy paying any price at all is the guy who called for some level of personal accountability among the higher-ups who gave up the airport, left people behind, and droned an innocent family. They still have their jobs. But the whistleblower got fired and thrown in the brig.
Meanwhile, with Biden telegraphing weakness to the world, China is sharpening its knives to devour Taiwan which is recognized by many nations, if not by China, as a distinct country in its own right.

China has already swallowed up Hong Kong, stripping them of democratic rights which were to continue for years, and making protest illegal. They made use of the pandemic year to tighten their grip there.

Chinese President Xi Jinping vowed on Saturday to achieve “peaceful reunification” with Taiwan, and did not directly mention the use of force after a week of tensions with the Chinese-claimed island that sparked international concern.
Taiwan responded to Xi by calling on Beijing to abandon its coercion, reiterating that only Taiwan’s people could decide their future.

Self-governed Taiwan’s 23 million people live under the constant threat of invasion by authoritarian China, which views the island as its territory and has vowed to one day seize it, by force if necessary.
‘The more we achieve, the greater the pressure we face from China,’ Tsai said in a speech marking Taiwan’s National Day on Sunday in the capital of Taipei, adding: ‘Nobody can force Taiwan to take the path China has laid out for us.’

China has openly threatened Japan with a rain of nuclear bombs if they dare to put even one soldier, one boat, or one plane in defense of the island. China Just Threatened To Nuke Japan … Should This Cost Them The Olympics?
China has been buzzing Taiwan with an increasingly alarming number of military aircraft — including bombers — in recent weeks.
So, is the world going to stand by and watch it happen like they did with Crimea, or those island bases China built in the South China Sea?
Will they ramp up sanctions on China?
Will they tell China that any act of aggression against China will cause their foreign assets to be frozen, and all international debts zeroed?
Or will they just frantically wave their arms and pretend to ‘do something’ while China just takes it by force?
With Trump in office, the answer would have been obvious. Some kind of a crushing deterrent — be it direct military deterrence, sanctions, or some other creative deterrent like the zeroing of all international loans if they fire a single shot at Taiwan — would have been presented.
But Compromise Joe? The ‘Big Guy’ who was padding his bank account with Chinese Business connections? He wouldn’t dare. For one thing, the amount of dirt they have on him and his family must stagger the imagination.
