The critical difference in the foreign policy approach to Iran’s open hostility is the tactic used in the negotiations.

Obama, Biden, Kerry and others have taken the appeaser’s approach — to the point of turning a blind eye to Iran’s global criminal enterprises and even attempts to bomb the American homeland while attempting to bribe them into signing an agreement Iran promptly began to renege on.

For context, see these related stories…

Trump’s approach was different. He used heavy financial sanctions to put the squeeze on Iran… some of which Biden lifted without getting any concession in return from Iran.

Biden is desperate to reinstate the old nuclear agreement, despite at least two obvious problems with that proposal. One, Iran isn’t interested in reinstating it (they already have their pallets of cash). The other? If IAEA Found Prohibited Uranium In Iran Why Is Biden Trying To Revive The Nuke Deal?

With Trump no longer locking down Iran’s national wallet and Biden’s policies helping cause a surge in world energy prices, Iran has been free to spread regional mischief again… including attacks against Americans.

They were involved in last week’s drone attack against US forces in Syria.

Iran is believed by the U.S. to be responsible for last week’s attack on al-Tanf, a base in southern Syria where U.S. troops are located, according to a U.S. official.

U.S. officials confirm that five drones were launched from within Syria in the attack on al-Tanf.

Last week, U.S. Central Command called the attack “deliberate and coordinated,” but no injuries were reported among U.S. troops, U.S. Central Command spokesman Navy Captain Bill Urban said in a statement on the day of the attack. — CBS

They have also been arming Israel’s neighbors.

Iran has begun deploying advanced anti-aircraft missile batteries to the region, including in Syria where Israeli jets routinely carry out airstrikes, in an attempt to challenge Israel Air Force jets.
Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria in an attempt to thwart Iranian entrenchment and the smuggling of advanced weapons to Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon, according to foreign reports, and in countries like Iraq and even further as part of its war-between-wars campaign against Iran. –JPost

With Biden’s administration increasingly giving Israel the cold shoulder, Israel has learned it can not rely on a Biden-led America to work in the interests of regional stability with respect to the malfeasance of the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

This is, after all, Joe Biden — the one guy in Obama’s inner circle who opposed the killing of Osama Bin Laden. The guy who was upset about the drone strike death of Solemani. (Meanwhile, a drone strike killing some kids and an aid worker during Joe’s bungling of Afghanistan is a ‘righteous strike’.)

It was with an eye to regional peace that Israel let Western proxies like work on Israel’s behalf in negotiating peaceful solutions to local conflicts. Under Biden, with the Squad holding the balance of power with the Dems, there is no longer any certainty that America can be trusted to perform that role.

Israel is seeing to the defense of its own interests.

With uncertainty looming large on the Iran Nuclear Deal, Israeli defence forces have announced a new programme that would allow them to practice for a possible strike on Iranian Nuclear Programmes. Starting as early as next year, the zionist troops will begin drawing novel attack plans and rehearsing their strike, according to a report by the Times of Israel. For this purpose, the IDF has already set aside funds and also updated its training schedule.

While striking clandestine nuclear facilities in Iran was a top priority for Israel initially, the issue was subsided following the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). However, as the US pulled back from the deal in 2018, the threat has exacerbated. Last month, the country’s speaking at the 76th meeting of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declared that “Iran’s nuclear program has hit a watershed moment, and so has our tolerance. Words do not stop centrifuges from spinning… We will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.” —RepublicWorld
