There is a simple way to distinguish between a leader and a tyrant. A leader says ‘let’s go this way’, and has people follow him. A tyrant says ‘do this because I said so — or else’. America is beginning to wake up to the fact that there are a lot of thin-skinned petty tyrants in elected office who aren’t afraid of using the phrase ‘or else’.

You can be a ‘public servant’ or you can be an ‘overlord’. But you can’t be both.

Chicago’s Mayor Lightfoot — like so many other Democrats since the Pandemic — have made their choice and aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.

‘Your fired’ might have been Trump’s TV catchphrase, but increasingly, it’s Democrat policy when someone doesn’t do what the Democrat in power tells them to do. Case in point, Mayor Lightfoot reacting to Chicago police refusing to enter their vax status into the database.

Here she is responding to a question about the lawsuit being taken against the FOP (Fraternal Order Of Police) in Chicago.

Here’s the ridiculous quote:
(Timestamp 1:37) ‘What we’ve seen from the Fraternal Order of Police and particularly the leadership is a lot of misinformation, a lot of half-truths and frankly flat-out lies in order to induce an insurrection. And we’re not having that.’

Insurrection.

Then she named the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara Jr. by name and said he had destroyed his police career, and declared he would never go back to any kind of active position.

We remind our readers that this case has not yet gone before the courts to determine whether the mandate she is giving is even within her power to make. Here’s why the President thinks she is in the wrong and rather than being an ‘insurrectionist’ he is protecting the rights of his members from being unduly trampled by a Mayor who demands obedience from the police despite bypassing the proper collective bargaining steps.

At police headquarters, the disciplinary process has begun for thousands of officers who did not meet the Friday deadline to upload their vaccination status to a city portal.

Officers are being brought in for counseling sessions where they were given direct orders to report their vaccination status. If they refuse, they are sent to human resources, where the city swiftly takes disciplinary action.

“At that point, human resources will give you another opportunity to go on the portal. If you do not go in the portal at that point and comply, you are placed in a no-pay status and you are stripped of your police powers immediately,” said Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara Jr.

…However, the FOP claims that because the city did not fairly bargain over the vaccination mandate, the order to report their status is invalid. One legal expert said the union is on shaky ground.

“The general approach is obey now, grieve later. That is, if you think an order is improper, you’re still expected to obey it and then file a grievance and fight it our afterwards,” said Martin Malin, a retired labor law professor for Kent College of Law. — ABC

Let’s not forget that these are the same COVID-hero cops who, just a year ago, risked their lives by going into situations where they were likely to be exposed to the same virus so many are now afraid of catching.

In fact, as of September 2020, more than 900 cops had already been infected with COVID-19 while people like Mayor Lightfoot worked in the comparative safety of Zoom calls.

Maybe the woman who made that annoying ‘Science is Back baby’ video crowing over Biden’s 2020 win might want to explain why she can justify firing cops for failing to get the jab when hundreds of them have natural antibodies that — statistically — offer better immunity that the vaccines themselves.

It’s no secret that people are cowering with fear these days. But those of us with faith know that living your life in fear is crap. Let’s get that message out there.

We’re living in a time where fear is running rampant and unchecked.

It seems like most public policy is based on fear these days, especially when it comes to the Wuhan Virus.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

It seems that a LOT of people have completely forgotten that message.

Let’s give them a reminder…
