Austria is going full-authoritarian by having police check the vaccine passports of people driving their cars or out in public places. This is the world the COVIDictators want.

On Sunday, the Austrian government decided to combat the spread of the China Virus with a lockdown of the unvaccinated only.

The move will prohibit Austrians 12 and up from leaving their homes for “non-essential” reasons if they are unvaccinated.

The Lockdown of the Unvaccinated is now in effect, and it’s being strictly enforced.

“It’s our job as the government of Austria to protect the people,” Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg told reporters in Vienna on Sunday. “Therefore we decided that starting Monday … there will be a lockdown for the unvaccinated.”

The lockdown affects about 2 million people in the Alpine country of 8.9 million, the APA news agency reported. It doesn’t apply to children under 12 because they cannot yet officially get vaccinated.

The lockdown will initially last for 10 days and police will go on patrol to check people outside to make sure they are vaccinated, Schallenberg said, adding that additional forces will be assigned to the patrols.

Unvaccinated people can be fined up to 1,450 euros ($1,660) if they violate the lockdown.

A video of Austrian police checking vaccine passports is circulating on Twitter:

It’s a bit chilling that they’re having uniformed officers patrolling the streets and checking vaccine passports to make sure that the “unclean” people aren’t out in public living their lives as they have been doing for the past year and a half.

Of course, they did have a lovely young female officer talk to the news agency to sell the lockdown as something that’s in the best interest of the public.

Here’s the thing, though…

Vaccination status is being used to exclude people from normal life, and it’s nonsensical since we have seen that the COVID vaccines don’t stop the spread of the virus.

The purpose of this heavy-handed measure is to get more people to take a vaccine that they don’t want — and may not even need if they already have natural immunity.

How different is this from China’s “social credit” system?

China’s social credit system is a government program being implemented nationwide to regulate its citizens’ behavior based on a point system.

Under this system, citizens are ranked in different areas of civil life using data collected from court documents, government or corporate records, and in some cases, citizen observers.

According to Business Insider, people with good “social credit” scores can get perks like better interest rates at banks, discounts on home heating, access to business class travel, and admission to institutes of higher education for themselves and their children.

Those with low social credit scores — and their children — are placed on a “blacklist” where access to university, travel, and even jobs.

It’s like the “nudge units” used by governments around the world on steroids — instead of “nudging” people towards behaviors that the government wants, the “social credit” system punishes behavior that the authorities don’t approve of.

Unfortunately, it’s not just government agencies and the people that lead them that approve these measures — a surprising majority of people agree with them because they’re afraid.

Freddie Sayers of UnHerd is in Vienna on Day 1 of the lockdown and asked people what they thought of 30% of the adult population of Austria essentially being put on partial house arrest for not getting a vaccine.

What strikes me most is the class inflection to the whole thing. We started this morning on one of the fancier shopping streets in the old town, full of Rolex and Karl Lagerfeld stores in which well-heeled locals lined up to express their support for the lockdown. There is very little sympathy for a truculent minority that is seen as “stupid” and “having brought it on themselves”.

On the same street, however, if you approach the people wearing fluorescent vests, guarding the stores and making deliveries, you tend to get a different response. They are more reluctant to speak to us, but decidedly less supportive. “It is bullshit,” was one man’s pithy response.

Questions about the practical efficacy of such a measure don’t seem to be of much interest. When I ask people if they know that vaccinated people can also contract and transmit Covid, they tend to brush it aside as a minor detail…

…But for the majority of voters that support it I can’t escape the sense that the motivation is at least partly punitive. They don’t understand people who are not taking the vaccine, they don’t like them, and they are slightly afraid of them — so the simplest thing is to remove them from society altogether.

The Corporate Media’s constant push of fear porn worked and it has caused divisions in society that may be irreparable.

Great work, everyone!

It’s no secret that people are cowering with fear these days. But those of us with faith know that living your life in fear is crap. Let’s get that message out there.

We’re living in a time where fear is running rampant and unchecked.

It seems like most public policy is based on fear these days, especially when it comes to the Wuhan Virus.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

It seems that a LOT of people have completely forgotten that message.

Let’s give them a reminder…
