The man who orchestrated the hate crime attack on Jussie Smollett has been found guilty.
The disgraced “Empire” star was found guilty of lying to Chicago police after organizing a fake racist and homophobic hate crime against himself in 2019.
Jussie Smollett has been found guilty on 5 out of 6 charges in the alleged hate crime hoax trial.
After a contentious week of witness testimony, counsel arguments and deliberation, the jury found Smollett guilty on the first five counts and he was acquitted on a sixth count, of lying to a detective in mid-February, weeks after Smollett said he was attacked.
Smollett was stoic as the jury read the verdict. The actor sat upright and stared straight ahead without showing any real emotion.
Judge Linn said he will order a pre-sentencing investigation and attorneys will meet via conference call to determine a date for pre-sentencing motions…
…The 39-year-old “Empire” alum was charged with six counts of disorderly conduct related to false statements to Chicago police officers in regard to a 2019 hate crime against himself. In 2019, he claimed that two men attacked him due to his skin color and sexual orientation.

Each count that Smollett has been found guilty of has a maximum penalty of 4 years, but Just The News reports that it’s more likely that he’ll get a slap on the wrist unless the judge decides to make an example out of him.
The charges are low-level felonies, and legal experts say the actor will likely get probation and community service orders, Fox News reports. The judge may, however, decide to impose a harsher sentence.

Special Prosecutor Dan Webb said that Smollett had “caused CPD to spend [an] enormous amount of time and police resources only to find out it was a fake hate crime.”
Webb says that Smollett withheld important evidence in order to frustrate the investigation because he “didn’t want the crime solved. He wanted it reported as a hate crime, wanted the exposure. He’s a smart man,” said Webb.
From the initial incident in February 2019 to the very end, this entire real-life drama that Jussie Smollett has been involved in has likely been much more entertaining than any production that he’s been in.

Let’s pray that Smollett faces a just sentence instead of the gentle coddling that Hollywood elites so often get.
Especially after the way that the Corporate Media and Democrats used the Smollett hoax to bash President Trump and millions of his supporters simply because they could.
A little comeuppance for these disgusting, lying, hate hoax-pushing leftists would be a nice change of pace.
