They were the modern brownshirts of leftist politics, and everybody knew it. But again and again, they got a pass from the left who denied they were in any way organized.
Whether it was Nadler (the House Judiciary Chair!) dismissing Antifa’s violence as a ‘myth’, or FBI Director Christopher Wright dismissing it as a ‘movement or an ideology’, but not an organization — words cited in the debates by Biden to discredit Trump’s law and order platform — a group of arrests and criminal charges throws cold water on that theory.
Prosecutors in San Diego filed charges against at least 10 anti-fascist protesters who allegedly tried to disrupt a pro-Trump rally earlier this year with “violent criminal acts.”
“Video evidence analysis shows that overwhelmingly the violence in this incident was perpetrated by the Antifa affiliates and was not a mutual fray with both sides crossing out of lawful First Amendment expression into riot and violence,” District Attorney Summer Stephan’s office said in a news release, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The defendants “are self-identified to be affiliated with Anti-fascists or Antifa” and gathered on Jan. 9 in San Diego to take “direct action” against a pro-Trump “Patriot March,” according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. “Direct action” is defined as “acts of violence such as assault, battery, assault with deadly weapons, arson, and vandalism,” according to the DA’s office. Police declared an unlawful assembly the day of the clashes.
…They face charges such as assault, conspiracy to commit a riot and illegal use of tear gas. They’re accused of using tear gas, sticks, flag poles and other items to attack the Trump supporters, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. The case is allegedly the first to use conspiracy charges against suspected Antifa members, the outlet reported. — FoxNews

The FBI exhausts so much of their resources chasing their tails looking for those elusive ‘white supremacists’ that supposedly perpetrate the vast majority of domestic terror. And yet we see so many operations where the FBI itself seems suspiciously involved in orchestrating the same attacks they claim to be foiling. (This includes some Jan 6 instigators who have mysteriously avoided facing charges.)
Maybe instead of wasting those resources by infiltrating Bible Studies and encouraging conservative immigrants to make Molotov Cocktails, they could turn their attention to groups that have, for years, demonstrably caused violence, mayhem, and even death.
If they care about violent groups trying to overthrow a government, we’ve got real evidence that (if Joe didn’t get the votes he needed) they were going to make American ‘ungovernable’ until Trump conceded.
