WATCH: Fauci Admits The Number Of Children Hospitalized With COVID Is Overblown

This is what many people on the right have been saying for over a year and a half and were vilified for saying it.

The Corporate Media is desperate to keep the hysteria going and they are doing it by handwringing about the children.

Here’s an NBC report titled, “Alarming Rise In Child Covid Hospitalizations.”

While the reporter admits that not all positive hospitalized cases are related to the ‘Rona, the segment ends by pushing vaccines for kids.

They can’t help themselves.

But now, with the Omicron Variant spreading like wildfire, the tide is turning.

And so is the messaging from the “medical experts.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on MSNBC on Wednesday and said that the number of hospitalizations of children with the coronavirus is being overcounted.

Ayman Mohyeldin was filling in for Rachel Maddow and asked the chief medical adviser to Joe Biden to explain why there were more children hospitalized now than earlier in the pandemic despite the data showing that the Omicron Variant is a milder illness than previous iterations of SARS-CoV-2.

Fauci said that there were two reasons for this. The first is just about numbers.

“First of all, quantitatively, you’re having so many more people, including children, who are getting infected. And even though hospitalization among children is much, much lower on a percentage basis than hospitalizations for adults, particularly elderly individuals,” said Fauci, “when you have such a large volume of infections among children, even with a low level of rate of infection, you’re going to still see a lot more children who get hospitalized.”

The second reason Fauci gave was that hospitals have been routinely testing for COVID even for unrelated medical issues such as appendicitis or a broken leg, and that is a large part of what accounts for the increase in pediatric hospitalizations.

“But the other important thing is that if you look at the children who are hospitalized, many of them are hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID,” Fauci continued. “And what we mean by that — if a child goes in the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID. And they get counted as a COVID-hospitalized individual. When in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that. So it’s overcounting the number of children who are, quote, ‘hospitalized with COVID,’ as opposed to because of COVID.”

I really, really hate these people.

Mentioning the difference of “with” COVID as opposed to “from” COVID used to be considered “disinformation” and signs that you were a “conspiracy theorist.”

Back in May, a report from Canada showed that pediatric hospitalizations there were wildly overcounted. Only around a third of the hospitalizations were actually due to a respiratory infection that was not necessarily even COVID-19 — it could have been pneumonia or Respiratory Syncytial Virus that was spiking in 2021 and is much more dangerous for children.

In September, David Zweig reported in The Atlantic that “Our Most Reliable Pandemic Number Is Losing Meaning” stating that almost half of the COVID-positive hospitalizations had “mild” symptoms or were asymptomatic indicating that the patients were there for entirely different reasons. Among the vaccinated, it was even more pronounced — 57% were asymptomatic or exhibited “mild” symptoms.

These reports were largely ignored in the Corporate Media or buried in their coverage.

But now, Saint Fauci has repeated what many of us have known since the Spring of 2020.

Conservative Twitter was quick to notice the sudden shift in narrative.

The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro had a helluva rant about the sudden shift in the messaging from the “experts” and the memory-holing of their previous comments while they try to gaslight everyone.
