Bill Maher’s getting unlikely praise from the right and shade from the left for speaking his mind.

Here at ClashDaily, there are no delusions about where Bill Maher stands politically. He is solidly on the left. But we have respect for him as an intelligent adversary. We’ve even spoken up for him, saying he should not be canceled for a use of the dreaded n-word that was said entirely without malice while making a joke at his own expense.

But to whatever degree we might agree or disagree with the stands he takes, he is that rare breed of Democrat with defined principles of what he does and does not stand for.

He’s not on board with the infinitely malleable revolution, where the chains get moved another 10 yards downfield after every political victory. This puts him in an awkward place.

He’s more than happy to heap hate on Republicans all day long, because he fundamentally rejects our side’s values… to the point that he was cheering on a recession (no matter how many people not named Bill Maher such a recession would hurt) so long that it meant Trump would be tossed out of office. You almost wonder if Bill has any buyers’ remorse seeing the hot mess that took his place.

But while the left marches ever-leftward, Bill has more or less held his ground, and even been nuanced in some of his criticisms. For example, he really doesn’t like Christians, but he is smart enough or has enough intellectual honesty to NOT be the kind of angry lib who casually tosses Christians in the same box as the Taliban.

Increasingly, though, he’s looking over his left shoulder and seeing his own party drift further and further away from his own positions. One of those positions is Maher’s bedrock commitment to free speech.

He’s one of the few liberal TV personalities who isn’t afraid to call out his own team on their ridiculous woke nonsense. And he finds it hilarious that personalities on Fox are praising him for it.

“It’s not my fault that the party of FDR and JFK is turning into the party of LOL and WTF.”

What is it about the left he’s mocking?

The reflex to regulate every problem out of existence, as though such an objective was even workable.

What else makes them the party of LOL and WTF? He slaughtered a few sacred cows in this rant, but here’s a few that he hit in the span of 20 seconds

Members of congress tweeting:
-cancel rent
-cancel mortgage
-No more policing or incarceration
-declaring that capitalism is slavery

More generally:
-Canceling Lincoln and Dr. Seuss
-Teaching children they are oppressors
-Math is racist
-Gender-neutral Mr. Potato head
-Pregnant dude emoji

It won’t be much longer before Bill suffers the same fate of every other leftist who wouldn’t keep up with the progressive endless leftward death march. Keep up or get ground under their boots as ‘the enemy’. We’ve seen it happen to feminists and lesbians who didn’t sing from the right songbook on trans activism… and the activist left are showing no signs of stopping their march anytime soon.

Maybe he never got the memo.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
