Is this a case of Abbott being afraid to bite the hand that feeds him?

Do Abbott’s true loyalties lie with the donor class or the voters who put him into office? That’s the latest of a series of fitness for leadership questions Allen West has been asking in his effort to secure the Republican primary race from a Republican Governor who, in his view, has been unable to deliver when it really matters.

Here’s his latest press release.

Richardson, TX, January 20, 2022 —
Governor Abbott has received $2.25 million from Kelcy L. Warren, including an additional $1 million during the 2022 election cycle. Mr. Warren is the billionaire Executive Chairman of the board for Energy Transfer LP. As Texans froze to death last year, Energy Transfer raked in close to $2.5 billion.

This is a clear conflict of interest especially since 400,000 Texans might be losing power next week as cold weather rocks the state. No government official should be placing corporate donors over the well-being of citizens. Governor Abbott’s current position, is concerning to say the least.

LTC West stated:

“Texans are at risk of losing power because of threats from Energy Transfer, who profited during last year’s freeze. Governor Abbott is silent about this threat since he is bought and paid for by the CEO of Energy Transfer. This is the pure example of crony capitalism at the expense of Texans. It’s apparent from the maltreatment of our Texas National Guard troops to selling out Texas children to gender reassignment clinics…Greg Abbott cares more about his campaign war chest than Texans.”

As Governor, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West would not allow the elites to dictate policy. The role of elected officials is to be servant leaders, not running dogs for corporate overlords. Texans deserve leadership that will place them first, not treat them as an afterthought.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
