GoFundMe isn’t a neutral platform and they’re quick to take down fundraisers they don’t agree with.
After pressure from the Canadian government and local police, the fundraising platform has refused to release more than $9 million dollars raised for the “Freedom Trucker Convoy” that is protesting in front of Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada.
In a statement released late on Friday, GoFundMe stated that “the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation” and therefore will not be hosted on the platform.
To ensure GoFundMe remains a trusted platform, we work with local authorities to ensure we have a detailed, factual understanding of events taking place on the ground. Following a review of relevant facts and multiple discussions with local law enforcement and city officials, this fundraiser is now in violation of our Terms of Service (Term 8, which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment) and has been removed from the platform.
Organizers provided a clear distribution plan for the initial $1M that was released earlier this week and confirmed funds would be used only for participants who traveled to Ottawa to participate in a peaceful protest. Given how this situation has evolved, no further funds will be directly distributed to the Freedom Convoy organizers — we will work with organizers to send all remaining funds to credible and established charities chosen by the Freedom Convoy 2022 organizers and verified by GoFundMe.

They added that donors could request a refund before February 19, 2022, and all remaining money would be donated to “credible and established charities.”
The Freedom Convoy organizers have moved over to GiveSendGo and (at the time of this writing) have raised over $1 million despite the servers crashing and a reported DDOS attack.

In 8 days there have been 3 arrests in Ottawa in connection to the protest — two of the individuals were from Ottawa, and one was from the province of Quebec, it’s unclear where exactly in the province that he lived. For those of you unfamiliar with the geography of the area, Parliament Hill sits on the bank of the Ottawa River and the other side is the province of Quebec. It’s about a 15-minute walk across the Alexandra Bridge from Ottawa, Ontario to Gatineau, Quebec.
Organizers say that these 3 individuals were not connected with the Freedom Convoy, yet these three arrests and some vague suggestion that there are threats of violence with no evidence, and the GoFundMe was yanked.
Police data actually showed that crime went down in the area since the convoy arrived.

After a whole lot of backlash from donors, high-profile commentators, and a certain Floria Governor looking at investigating GoFundMe for fraud…
It is a fraud for @gofundme to commandeer $9M in donations sent to support truckers and give it to causes of their own choosing.
I will work with @AGAshleyMoody to investigate these deceptive practices — these donors should be given a refund.

…it appears that GoFundMe has decided that not all press is good press after all.
The update we issued earlier enabled all donors to get a refund and outlined a plan to distribute remaining funds to verified charities selected by the Freedom Convoy organizers. However, due to donor feedback, we are simplifying the process and automatically refunding donations.

But something’s not right about their claims that this is about an “occupation” and violence when we’ve seen that this is a uniquely Canadian protest with the truckers cleaning up after themselves and playing road hockey.

We’ve all seen the horror in Ottawa that has been going on since these truckers arrived in Ottawa, right? It’s like an invasion of people who just want to live their lives happily and the Powers That Be certainly don’t want that.

Remember the CHAZ/CHOP zone in Seattle that was filled with violence and several people were killed there? GoFundMe was tweeting out a fundraiser supporting a farmer on that occupied land.
Well, well, is this GoFundMe promoting a funding campaign for a lawless left-wing occupation? https://t.co/d1EOzhIkpA

Andy Ngo posted a thread on Twitter showing that GoFundMe has no problem hosting fundraisers for “occupiers” — as long as they’re left-of-center.

Remember Rebekah Jones? She’s the disgruntled former COVID dashboard manager for the Florida Department of Health that has single-handedly pushed the conspiracy theory that Florida’s COVID numbers are much worse than the official record, and has become a darling on the left. She was banned from Twitter in 2021 for violating Twitter rules against platform manipulation. She’s now running for office, and this grifter has used multiple GoFundMe pages to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars.
On the note of GoFundMe abuse, alleged felon & fired geographer Rebekah Jones is still raising money on GoFundMe while "running" for Congress, and she has reported precisely $0 of it to the FEC. https://t.co/sjERyOJ20G https://t.co/4EpuUSgaAq

They hate you and everything that you stand for.

As Andrew Breitbart said so succinctly years ago…
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
