If anyone was hoping the international pressure would be making Putin rethink his choices and step back from the brink… they’ve misjudged the man calling the shots over there.

The die has been cast and he is not slowing down now. On the countary, he’s doubling down… and has brought his nuclear arsenal into the conversation.

“Western countries aren’t only taking unfriendly actions against our country in the economic sphere, but top officials from leading NATO members made aggressive statements regarding our country,” Putin said in a televised address on Sunday, The Associated Press reported.

Putin said that leaders from NATO alliance countries have in recent days made a number of “aggressive” statements to go along with recent sanctions slapped on Russia and its top banks and officials.

He’s playing a dangerous game.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, said Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to order the country’s nuclear deterrent forces on high alert represented an escalation of its aggression against Ukraine that is “totally unacceptable.”

“President Putin is continuing to escalate this war in a manner that is totally unacceptable, and we have to continue to condemn his actions in the strongest possible way,” Thomas-Greenfield said in an interview with “Face the Nation” Sunday when asked about Putin’s directive. “Our voices have been unified with the Europeans and with the world that he needs to cease his aggressive actions toward Ukraine. And we will continue here at the United Nations and around the world to use every possible lever we have at our disposal to expose his actions.” — MSN

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
