Yikes! No wonder the hashtag “BlackfaceHitler” was trending on Twitter over the weekend!

The blockades at the border were removed by provincial police before Prime Minister Justin Castro Trudeau invoked the revamped “War Measures Act” that is reserved for, well, war or serious threats to the nation like terrorism or a mass casualty event from a natural disaster.

Over the weekend, the truck protesters were removed from the downtown core of Ottawa by police with some rather violent interactions against peaceful protesters.

The invocation of the “Emergencies Act was a massive overreach to deal with a group of protesters who want an end to the onerous pandemic restrictions that Canadians continue to endure. The protesters remained peaceful for three weeks straight as the Prime Minister continued to vilify them as Nazis, occupiers, and insurrectionists.

But in a presser today, it seems that the Prime Minister has no intention of backing down even though the crowds are gone.

As a reminder, Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act means that banks can freeze funds of donors without a warrant. They’ve also gone after cryptocurrencies and crowdfunding platforms.

The government has retroactively criminalized donating to one particular cause that opposes government policy.

Wow, authoritarian, much?

Chrystia Freeland, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the Finance Minister has said that the government is planning on making some of the provisions in the Emergencies Act permanent.

And that’s before it’s even been passed.

The vote is going to be held on Monday night.

Trudeau said that anyone who votes against his blatant power grab indicates that “they don’t trust the government to make incredibly momentous and important decisions at a very difficult time.”

Well, duh! Government doesn’t always act in the best interests of all citizens. That’s why protest is so important, but Trudeau wants to crush all opposition.

His wording is interesting — he’s implying that this could be a “confidence motion” which means if it is defeated, it would trigger an election.

Canada just had a federal election in September where Trudeau won with the smallest percentage of the vote in Canadian history.

The last election was just two years after Trudeau was elected for a second term, and Canadians thought it was unnecessary and driven by Liberal poll numbers in the middle of the pandemic.

Trudeau’s main rivals, the Conservative Party, has no leader since he stepped down after not properly backing the truckers’ grievances, and the third party, the socialist NDP have no money left. This is a threat from a wannabe dictator that if you don’t back his power grab, you don’t back Canada’s “democracy” — all while the opposition parties are in various states of disarray. It’s disgusting and disingenuous if that is indeed what he means.

Here’s the full presser today where Trudeau tries to wrap himself in the cloak of democracy but says that using the Emergencies Act was the right thing to do to crush a peaceful protest.

When it was first announced, Trudeau said that the Emergencies Act would be limited in scope and would only last for 30 days, but now he thinks it should be in place for “2 to 3 months” to quell protests before they occur.

Sounds kinda like the goalpost shifting of “15 Days To Slow The Spread” paired with a dystopian “pre-crime” unit.

Gee, why would anyone question Trudeau’s disgusting anti-democratic power-grab?

Well, perhaps this clip from 2015 where Trudeau praises China’s “basic dictatorship” could explain it…

But it’s not just that he admires the dictatorship, he wants to emulate it.

When he first became the leader of the Liberal Party, it was pretty clear that he has a dictatorial streak.

Back in 2014, the Huffington Post posted an article titled, “Why Canada Will Become a Dictatorship Under Trudeau.”

The leader of that party does what he wants, when he wants, and no one dares question him. Would a Prime Minister Trudeau arbitrarily whip the vote and outlaw certain moral questions? Could Prime Minister Trudeau be trusted to make decisions for the good of the country, not just for his personal self-worth? Would Trudeau call in the police to enforce his vision? Let’s hope we never have the opportunity to ask those questions.

Well, that was prescient.

If this motion passes, can Canada still be considered a democracy or has it become a dictatorship under Führer Trudeau?

Since we’re doing the throwback thing… check out what Trudeau tweeted in 2012:

That didn’t age well, did it?
