WATCH: Trump-Backed Candidate For Governor Of Arizona UNLOADS On ABC News After ‘Gotcha’ Question

This takedown was done with such finesse that it should be shown to all Republicans on how to handle the hostile Corporate Media.

Kari Lake is a former TV news anchor for Fox News 10 Phoenix (KSAZ-TV), who is the only candidate running for Governor of Arizona that is backed by former President Donald Trump.

Lakes former employer, Fox 10 Phoenix, gave a quick summary of all of the candidates, and here’s what they wrote about Lake:

• She wants to restore faith in our election system and restore the quality of life in Arizona by securing the border and addressing our homeless issues.
• She also is a big advocate for medical freedom especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying no one should be forced to get shots, swabs, or wear masks in order to go to school or work.
• Lastly, she wants to improve our education system and its funding, saying parents should have the right to choose which school their child will attend and wants to update the subjects being taught.

Lake remarks about the border issue, saying, “Secure the border, finish the wall, stop dangerous drugs and illegal crossings; Tackle the growing homelessness problem to prevent the horror show we see on California streets from happening here.”

Arizona’s primary is just 6 months away and the race is really starting to heat up. Lake was in the lead but has recently fallen behind former Rep. Matt Salmon in polls.

Back in July, Lake was under fire when it was revealed that she had donated to Democrats John Kerry and Barack Obama in the past after she labeled herself the “only conservative” in the race.

This video isn’t about endorsing Lake as the candidate in the weirdly purple state of Arizona — we really don’t know all that much about her — but it is to show how a former journalist is handling other journalists.

It’s a masterclass in how to respond to a “gotcha” question.

One of Lake’s key platform points is to restore faith in elections. ABC News interviewed Lake and asked her if she believes that Joe Biden is President of the United States.

JOURNO: Do you think that Joe Biden is the current President?

LAKE: Well, he’s obviously sitting in the White House. Do you think he’s the President?

JOURNO: I’m asking you. But I’m just wondering if — Do you if– do you think that if the 2020 election was stolen, is Joe Biden the President?

LAKE: Do you think that the election was stolen?

JOURNO: I have no comment.

LAKE: Do you think that Joe Biden garnered 81 million votes. Do you think the elections wer fair? The problem is that the American people don’t have all the answers because the media is part of the problem. Media’s not reporting it. Media’s never reported our forensic audit fairly, they’re not reporting what’s happening in Georgia, they’re not reporting on these ballot traffickers that are being paid to drop off ballots. Media is doing a huge disservice to this country. And the people aren’t getting the full story. But eventually, I do think they will, and the media, whose numbers are dropping — dropping like a rock — are going to continue to drop. And pretty soon, nobody will be watching because the media has turned their back on the people of America and not been honest.

ABC News, CNN, MSNBC spent more than three years lying to the American people saying that Russia colluded with Donald J. Trump to steal an election in 2016. And they knew that was false. They knew they were peddling lies, and they did nothing to stop it. It was a complete hoax and it was a lie. And now they’re doing the opposite. We have evidence of corruption in our election and they refuse to cover it. They refuse to be honest with the people of this country. It is disgusting what the media has done, and I think their days are numbered when it comes to surviving all of this. A business — When you’re lying to the people and you’re in media, that’s a bad business model.

Lake posted the video on her Twitter account with a follow-up tweet saying that her team had filmed the entire interview “just in case” ABC News tried to be dishonest with the clip.

Lake made her case without anger or harsh words.

Sometimes, it would be in the Right’s benefit to handle these purveyors of fake news just like this.

Let’s not forget that ABC News has been caught fabricating news in the past, and they covered up the story about Epstein abusing young girls.

These are not serious journalists who made honest mistakes. They’re activists for the Left and they hate anyone who disagrees with them and will happily destroy their lives if it means a “win” for their side.

That doesn’t mean that we need to treat them badly. But a good “own” that is done with decorum goes a long way in exposing their biases, and that will reach some people who aren’t as big fans of the more pugialistic rhetoric.
