America is SO ‘over’ the pandemic panic now that even Pelosi had enough sense to pull COVID funding out of her crazy funding bill.
But that hasn’t stopped Uncle Sam from fighting with unvaxxed members of the armed forces.
Right now, there is a ship stuck in port because the Navy is trying to enforce Joe’s quixotic mandate on a ship’s captain despite his religious objections. And the Navy has been losing the battle in court.
The MOST sensible thing, at this point, would be for the military to stop enforcing the vax mandate, and even rehire everyone who had been let go (preferably with back pay) because the panic is over and the Vax mandate was clearly an overreaction.
But as we can see by the Woke turn the military has taken in the last 13 months or so, we do not live in ‘sensible times’. They are willing enough to take the ‘L’ in Afghanistan, but not so far as Vax mandates are concerned. (Cynical minds might consider this a sly political purge of the armed forces, to make this just as devoutly and partisanly Democrat as every other institution they have managed to corrupt.)

An East Coast guided-missile destroyer is “out of commission” after a federal judge in Florida prevented the Navy from removing its commanding officer for his refusal to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the service said in ongoing legal action.
Judge Steven Merryday ruled in a February decision that the Navy cannot remove an unnamed commanding officer despite what the service says is a lack of confidence in his ability to lead because his religious objections to the COVID-19 vaccine are protected by federal law.
The Navy, on the other hand, has said it will not deploy anyone who is not fully vaccinated, and, in this particular case, will not allow a commander it no longer trusts to lead one of its ships.
This has led to an impasse as the Navy awaits to hear if the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit will hear the case. —USNI

With drums of war beating in Russia, this seems like an excellent time for Republicans to take a stand present legislation that will reinstate unvaccinated veterans into their positions now that the Chinavirus has become little more than a nuisance, especially for the young and fit, as so many in the military are by definition.
