Is this guy for real? Does he not see the irony?
Ari Melber, the host of The Beat on MSNBC, said in Monday’s monologue that he is very concerned that Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter will give the billionaire the ability to censor “one party’s candidates.”
While Melber didn’t name Democrats specifically, that’s clearly the party that he is talking about.
It’s kind of hilarious that the left is losing their minds over Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter with the goal of bringing it back to its free speech roots. This is the same guy that has made electric vehicles both cool and more reliable. It’s probably a safe bet that a whole lot of Musk’s new critics probably own a Tesla.
But now they’re making him into some sort of Bond villain who will use Twitter for his own personal gain.
Twitter employees were freaking out after the deal went through on Monday.
Twitter employees weren’t the only ones freaking out. Democrat politicians and the left-wing media were also losing their minds.
In a stunning yet predictable piece of journalisming, Melber appears to be completely oblivious to the aggressive and targetted shadowbanning, flagging, censorship, suspensions, and outright bans of conservatives on various social media platforms that have been going on for the past few years.
MELBER: The world’s richest person, who is very good at accumulating wealth and power thinks this is worth spending tens of billions of dollars on because, frankly, he thinks it’s that valuable and he thinks it may help him. Trump, by the way, today, is claiming that he won’t even return to Twitter if the ban were lifted — if you take what Donald Trump says seriously on that score. So, what is happening? This is far bigger than Trump or Elon Musk. They are symptoms of the world we’re living in, where technology has outpaced any of our ability to deal with it. That’s true whether you’re a parent trying to figure out what you can and can’t let your kids do at various ages. It is true if you’re a democracy like the United States that used to regulate media ownership and say Rupert Murdoch can’t have too many local TV stations and newspapers in one town — they have laws for that that are still on the books, but the Congress hasn’t gotten round to limiting whether someone can own all of Twitter. And as we discussed in one of our special reports just last week, if you own all of Twitter or Facebook or what have you — you don’t have to explain yourself. You don’t even have to be transparent. You could secretly ban one party’s candidate or all of its candidates — all of its nominees. Or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff, and turn up the reach of something else and the rest of us might not even find out about it until after the election.
Watch as Melber explains what conservatives have been complaining about for several years now.
What the heck was that?!
It appears to be some sort of unhinged leftwing cocktail of projection, gaslighting, and fear of reprisals.
He can’t really believe that exactly what he described hasn’t been happening for the past few years, can he?
Prominent right-wingers have been shadow-banned and had their reach reduced on social media platforms for years, and when they complain about it, they’re told that it’s “the algorithm” and not overt suppression.
It was Twitter that permanently suspended the sitting President of the United States — while continuing to give terrorists a platform. In November 2020, the social media site also openly suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story that you couldn’t even share as a private message immediately before the election.
And that’s just social media. The Regime Media is just as bad. They openly target one political party and they’re not even bothering to hide it.
Both The New York Times and the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post won a joint Pulitzer for reporting on what we can now accurately call the Hillary-funded Russian Collusion Hoax.
The left is so bold that they bragged about putting their fingers on the scale in 2020.
YouTuber Viva Frei retweeted a clip from the monologue asking if this is a description of how the left bragged about “fortifying” the 2020 Presidential election.
Did this guy just describe “election fortification”? #ConfessionThroughProjection https://t.co/IXnHf76nuG

Indeed it does.
A number of conservatives called out Melber for being so clueless.
Hey, @AriMelber, serious question: I’ve been looking for a new rock to live under and was wondering which one you use.

How could @AriMelber be this out of touch with what has been happening for years?! https://t.co/UZbYvyYavn

This is exactly what the Machine\Left\Democrats have done to their opponents for years, you absolute ? @AriMelber.
Enjoy the ride into irrelevance… https://t.co/DAdYU8YI2z

Wait @AriMelber is concerned about The possibility that someone who owns a social media company could boost those they agree with and decrease the reach of those they disagree with? Where the hell has he been for the past decade? Oh his side was getting boosted. Got it.

Is this guy a clown? A sitting POTUS of the other part was removed from Twitter months after Twitter suppressed news about his opponent (Hunter and Joe).

Welcome to Conservative Twitter, @AriMelber! https://t.co/7afpN0xbUj

The left is just mad that the memes are about to be glorious again.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
