The Biden-Harris admin has issued new guidance for treating minors with gender dysphoria that is based on some rather sketchy science and Florida isn’t having it.
This administration has made it very clear that they’re willing to side with lobbyists backed by pharmaceutical companies who want to permanently alter the bodies of gender-confused kids rather than take a more cautious “wait and see” approach that has been the standard for decades.
“Gender affirming health care for transgender kids is the best practice and potentially lifesaving,” said White Houe Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently.
The White House has determined that “gender-affirming care” includes:
- Social transition/affirmation
- Puberty blockers
- Hormone therapy
- Sex change surgery which has been given the euphemism “gender-affirming surgery”
White House mouthpiece “Circle Back” Psaki threatened red states that put in laws preventing life-altering hormone treatment and surgeries for children who are suffering from gender dysphoria.
The administration has adopted the language of activists using sanitized euphemisms instead of being clear with what these things are.

It cannot be stressed enough that these recommendations are for children, not adults. These are vulnerable kids who need adults to protect them not shove them into decisions that they not only don’t understand the long-term consequences of, but don’t have the cognitive ability to comprehend yet.
The administration is saying that minors who can’t sign a cell phone contract should be able to make life-altering decisions about their bodies prior to puberty.
Let’s be clear that some of this “surgery” isn’t cosmetic — it means permanently sterilizing children through castration and hysterectomy.
As ClashDaily reported on Wednesday, the Biden-Harris administration is out of step with other Western countries like Finland and Sweden that were early adopters of “gender-affirming care” and are now quickly moving away from it because of new data and the recent alarming spike in gender dysphoria, especially among teen girls.

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo pushed back against the “irresponsible” federal guidance that embraces the affirmative care model and insists on a cautious approach when dealing with gender-confused kids.
Guidance of this magnitude requires a thorough, unbiased review of the evidence.

Florida health officials on Wednesday rejected federal guidelines that recommend medical treatments for minors who question their gender.
Dr. Ladopo said minors experiencing gender dysphoria should instead receive counseling to address their concerns.
Asserting that 80 percent of kids eventually lose their desire to change sexes, Ladopo lobbied against the federal approach.
“It was about injecting political ideology into the health of our children,” Ladopo said. “Children experiencing gender dysphoria should be supported by family and seek counseling, not pushed into an irreversible decision before they reach 18.”

Florida Health also published a fact-check of the HHS claims about gender dysphoria.
Last night, Dr. Ladapo appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight and explained Florida’s opposition to the new federal guidelines.
He said that the Biden-Harris administration has based the recommendations on very limited data and that they are likely going to cause harm rather than prevent it.
There is now a burgeoning industry that wants to create a generation of gender-confused individuals reliant on pharmaceutical intervention and surgery in order to feel “normal” — and we’re all supposed to ignore that Big Pharma lobbyists are behind the curtain.
It’s disgusting.
It’s nice to know that there is at least one state government in America willing to stand up to the federal government to protect children from these monsters.
