God Didn’t Make You A Coward

The following was taken from Doug Giles’ brand NEW book, Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap.

The Christian is never called to fear what this life tosses at them but to fear God and stand on His word instead (Lk.12:4,5). Sadly, a lot of the church flunked that test when the Wuhan Wheezer was unleashed on us by China and fell prey to satanic anxiety.

Fear is a sin, folks (Rev. 21:8). It’s the antithesis of the Christian spirit of boldness (Prov. 28:1), hardiness (Heb. 10:32-36), righteous rebellion (Acts 5:29), and a gravity-defying faith (Rom. 4:18).

Our great God would never give us some pathetic spirit of fear. That’s horse crap. That’s everything God isn’t. Fear has jack squat to do with biblical faith and yet, there the church sat, for the last two years, obeying and doing ridiculous things because, they too, bought into a mass delusional psychosis and they called it “wisdom” and “loving their neighbor”.

Unfortunately, two years later now, lo and behold, we find out that all those ridiculous mandated hoops the “experts” and politicians made churches jump through did not work to stop the spread of a bad cold.

Some pastors called kissing idiots’ backsides during the days of the bad cold “being smart” and “gathering wisely”. I call it being a wuss and acting stupid.

What you did, Pastor Disaster, wasn’t wisdom. It wasn’t love that made you cease corporate, in person, business as usual, essential/commanded worship. It was fear: 1. Fear they might catch a bad cold and 2. Fear if they ticked off their Mayor McCheese or their power trippin’ governor, they might get fined, go to jail, or lose their 501(c)3 that they worship more than God.

Whatever was the source of the pastor’s dread that led them to obey and play pandemic with civil magistrates who hate the church, it sure as heck was not my King of Kings and my Lord of Lords.

For those still in a quandary whether God wants them to be a hamster saddled with a delusional psychosis or not, please peruse the various translations of one of my favorite scriptures, 2Tim.1:7.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. (AMP)

You see, God did not give us a cowardly spirit but a powerful, loving, and disciplined spirit. (VOICE)

For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline. (CJB)

God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control. (CEV)

For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, and of love, and of wise discretion. (DARBY)

The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control. (ERV)

For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. (TLB)

God gave us his Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful. Instead, the Spirit gives us power and love. He helps us control ourselves. (NIRV)

After all, the spirit given to us by God isn’t a fearful spirit; it’s a spirit of power, love and prudence. (NTE)

For why [Soothly] God gave not to us the spirit of dread, but of virtue, and of love, and of soberness. (WYC)

Did you catch that? Because I laid it down pretty thick. Pardon my redundancy but …

  1. God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear).
  2. God did not give us a cowardly spirit,
  3. God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us.
  4. The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid.
  5. For the Holy Spirit, God’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people (or a bad cold).
  6. God gave us his Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful.
  7. After all, the spirit given to us by God isn’t a fearful spirit.8. For why [Soothly] God gave not to us the spirit of dread. What God did give you Dinky was …

Power. Yes Christian, if God truly invaded your life, then you can say adios to being timid, helpless, infirm, impotent, weak, powerless, and incompetent. That crap gets crucified when Christ moves into your castle and gets replaced with Holy Spirit dynamite (Acts 1:8).

Love. 1John 4:18 says, “perfect love casts out fear.” The revelation of God’s great love for us kills timidity before men and any fear of catching a bad cold. God’s great love for us should make us holy and confident warriors who do not sweat what the unwashed masses sweat because our covenant-keeping God deeply loves us and powerfully upholds and protects us.

Sound Mind. Yep, you read that correctly. God gives the believer a sound mind. But you wouldn’t have known that because a lot of Christians acted the fearful fool and obeyed stupid bad cold rules and edicts and threw out their brain and common sense and fearfully played pandemic for two years. Instead of walking in the sound mind that God gave the Christian, many adopted the fear Fauci sold ‘em. Shameful. Indeed, instead of not freaking out, many who claim to be believers bought the paranoia that “The News” peddled. Ergo, instead of having biblical peace in the midst of the storm, “Christians” became stressed, anxious, depressed, and suicidal because they believed public health officials versus the Word of God. This led to church closures, lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates that we now know do not protect against getting or giving the bad cold to other peeps. All of the aforementioned came about because folks said “giddy-up” to fear and “no thanks” to common sense and reason. Good job, tinkerpots.

Finally, say this next verse out loud and with some testicular fortitude.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Now say it again, louder!

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Now say it again so loud that it startles yo’ mama and she comes to see if you’re ok.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Feels good, eh?

Lastly, put that scripture on your TV, laptop, and your smartphone and anytime some satanic fear-addled jackanape tries to offload their phobias on you, read that verse out loud again and then tell whoever is trying to get you to live in dread of men or a bad cold to go pound sand. In Christian love, of course.

Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap

by Doug Giles

Beginning in March 2020, many Christians went into lockdown-freak-out mode.

They “socially distanced” themselves from corporate worship and from pretty much everyone and everything else, except, of course, liquor, and grocery stores.

Uncut, irrational, unbiblical, and not to mention, unconstitutional, fear gripped many churches and church leaders.

Should pastors publicly repent if they obeyed Fauci in regard to how they conducted their ministry instead of adhering to the clear commands of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

That’s a legit question, eh?

Get your copy of Dear Christian: Your Fear Is Full of Crap now. Better yet, grab an extra copy for any petrified pastor who dutifully put obedience to the unconstitutional edicts of Mayor McCheese ahead of obedience to the explicit commandments of the LORD God Almighty.
